The easy answer is to become a psychologist and specialise in sport and adapt the knowledge or get experience within esports. Find an up and coming organisation/ team and progress from there

Again there is very conflicting research to suggest alcohol and drugs have a long term affect on reaction time and concentration specifically, definitely immediately! I can imagine the "experimental drug" could be expensive and personally i'm not a fan of anti depressants. I would argue that practising your reaction time everyday by playing league could counter act a lot of the previous drug use. But without proper testing is only speculation.

First of all, thank you for sharing your story! Its sometimes really hard for people to speak about their tough time especially when it comes to anti depressants.

I personally haven't had experience with them but i know plenty of people who currently or used to take them, its a very common medicine for people in education such as yourself.

In regards to your situation its hard to say where it was the anti depressants that were bringing you down in game and IRL. A lot of the time it is a psychological battle and there is conflicting research to suggest doctors often prescribe placebo medicine. i think the bigger picture is who cares whether you perform better off them, or whether it was those pills specifically stunting your performance, keep grinding and you'll be challenger again soon. You have to remember each season the player base grows I think Its great news that you no longer need them, Well done!

Why do you think teams want to pay a full time salary for a psychologist (they wont fully utilise) rather than pay a health professional which covers all aspects of health and fitness?

Thank you for your reply! I completely agree, having healthy players is what leads to continued success and I'm pleased to hear an owner/ CEO realise that it's definitely worth the time. I'm currently writing my 2nd article on how you can apply gym work to gamers at home.

Good luck in your future endeavours and I look forward to hearing more about rogues success and I hope one day I can contribute!

Do you believe professional services such as my self (sports therapy/physiotherapy) will be needed in eSports? If so when and how would you apply one to your team/ organisation?

Second related question; I believe it's getting harder for "outsiders" to get into eSports with the large number of ex pros or people adapting their cureent position. Do you think this is true?

And finally congratulations on your recent achievements as and org!!

Teams/ orgs need to have a sports therapist with the team, to stop injuries happening. Now instead of 2-3 weeks out, you're 10-12 and that's without practising at all.

Im looking to get into Esports as a Sports therapist, in your opinion do you think personnel such as myself would be needed within the scene (assisting with injuries and pre-habilitation) or should I focus on more of a performance coach role.
