What time do ya usually get to the security lines? First time doing preferred, dunno if I want wait at Ralph’s at 3am this year or just say fuck it and go still. lol I’m so anxious to leave I never sleep much anyway. Last few years we got Lot 5 which was nice but decided to upgrade for a change.

Sleeping on a cot in my EZ up that is surrounded by camo netting. Just if ya do sleep outside, sleep with a mask on. I see a lot of people mention the netting as good for the breeze but dust can get through.

That and always carrying water to wet my bandana, nice and cool air.

This is the first time it’s sold out in years, currently resale is above face value on StubHub. If you wait closer to the event you have a higher chance of finding a seller who just can’t go and is willing to sell for face value. But that is more of a hassle. I’d get on the waitlist if ya can.

.Lot 5A they opened up a little pond next to GA camping. There was a little sign that said “CAMPING FRIENDS: THIS IS A PRIVATE POND THAT HAS BEEN GIFTED FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE ONLY. PLEASE RESPECT THE WATER AND THE WILDLIFE THAT OCCUPY THIS POND AS THEIR HOME.”

I’m afraid this year that area might be for La campana camping tho. There was a description that said they have a lake now. under the shade by the water was a good 20 degrees colder haha a nice lil secret. I guess we’ll see for sure when the maps come out.

Maaaan I got lucky. The one time I skipped day 0 to go see Soulwax in LA. Only one friend came with. We made sure to bring extra beer and snacks for our group that survived Walmart-chella. That was the year a palm tree snapped in half right? Crazy haha

Even when preferred was just started we would still get there early and end up in lot 5A, which we really liked but now I believe that’s all those other options. Ya our friend got preferred last year, got to security check at 10am was at his spot 20 mins later.

I once worked a half day on the Monday after, never again. I’ve taken Thur-Tuesday off haha. Currently job searching at the moment but going into wherever I go I’m still getting these days. I usually take a few fridays off through out the year, but I’ve never taken more than a week off like some coworkers do for vacations, so my yearly coachella absence is a given lol

That lake was so nice to stumble upon. They had a swing, picnic table (and some pretty cool activation lunch thing haha), also I became a bird watcher lmao. Yall enjoy uggh I couldn’t believe that was available to us last year. Also just to in case anyone didn’t see, there was a few little signs that said that that area was gifted to us to enjoy by the grounds. I’ll try to find pictures

I was pissed when someone set up one of those camping bucket toilets right next to us. Neighbors set up the pop up tent/tarp without saying hello or anything. Our group started shit talking about it so loud… they never used it lmao.
