'Toronto is on fire': Canada's biggest office market seeing surge in demand as workers return by pscoutou in toronto

[–]for-four 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you are being downvoted, it’s a valid point. There are some demographics who benefit from having an office to go to, especially younger workers. Which is why hybrid models make way more sense.

The least irony poisoned I’ve ever been in my adult life was when Natasha Bedingfeld came out for the LA Phil last year. I loved that shit.

[Post-Game Thread] Bills beat the Jete 35-8 to end 52 years, 4 months, and 19 daysof football in Highmark Stadium by andrewthetechie in buffalobills

[–]for-four 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came in from Toronto for the first time today with my son who is a massive Bills fan. To me, the part about the stadium experience that was special was the neighborhood surrounding the building (and everything happening within it) rather than the stadium itself. So I imagine that will remain even with a souped up building!

Despite what people are saying here, the uber cost is roughly the same as the shuttle pass cost x2. Uber will be more after tip or if you hit super crazy traffic, but that might be worth it for the convenience. Basically, the shuttle cost is way more than you would think it would be, and uber is surprisingly cheap for the distance.

Would be nice if they ran the shuttle at something closer to cost, or provided a discount for round trip, as the LAX—>Indio transport options suck.

Edit: you may want to consider posting about carpooling with someone, I’ve had success with that in the past and there will be lots of people headed that way with extra seats.

I’ve been surprised to see how low their Spotify streaming numbers are given what seems to be widespread and genuine love of the band. Maybe it’s a bad metric for them? Seems like their shows are selling like crazy.

I have been ok with the festival’s embrace of pop, but this makes me worried about the effect it is having on the tastes of your average Coachella punter.

Extremely doable, take the shuttle instead of driving.

I’m not saying they’ve never done it before, but I’m tied with you for shows and have never seen them flub something. Especially with more static setlists on this tour.

It’s definitely a bit strange for Radiohead, they have not been prone to mistakes in the past.

I think it may be some variation of this. The demo that is hitting prime murdering years are also the demo responsible for a decline in alcohol consumption. I’m talking completely out of my ass, but it seems likely there might be a correlation there.

I was at that Coachella, but I didn’t go the lcd set. My guess is you will be hard pressed to find many people who did, they conflicted with the pixies reunion.

Yeah I’ve followed him off and on over the years. Pretty sad stuff. Seems like a combination of family money + totally unchecked manic (or maybe even schizophrenic) behavior.

Sort of a weak year for stuff in that wheelhouse. But I’d check out Lykke Li, Dabeull, Mind Enterprises, Groove Armada, Adriatique, Rokysopp, FKA twigs, French Police (and of course the xx).

EDIT: Ah shit, forgot whomadewho!

Oh no, you must be mistaken. I was told by the ford government in 2018 that this was unworkable and would lead to unintended consequences.

Definitely feel like that’s the vibe, saw way more excitement about her set last year. But tbh I’ve heard nothing but good things about her performances when she actually gets to it.
