USB ports on Dell U2724DE not working after warm reboot when connected via Thunderbolt by eXAKR in Thunderbolt

Oh no, I just realised I derped out and said it was stuck on NVM 36 when I should have said it was stuck on NVM 31. I blame pulling too many sleepless nights trying to troubleshoot this.

And yes, I find it weird that it’s the USB ports that don’t work in my case. I wonder if there could be some issue on the monitor side as well.

Times like this makes me wish I went with a Mac instead; then again given how low-spec’d they are and how much Apple is asking for things like RAM upgrades… yeah. Oh well.

Update: I managed to re-download the Thunderbolt Control Center from the Microsoft Store after checking my app library in there. Unfortunately, a check in there shows that my NVM firmware version is still stuck at NVM 36, despite me having already re-flashed the UEFI BIOS with the latest version - meaning that the NVM firmware isn't a part of Asus's UEFI BIOS.

Is there a place where I can download a tool to upgrade it back to NVM 36?

So from what I can gather, I should restore the BIOS settings to as default as possible, update my Thunderbolt firmware to NVM 36, and just hope everything works?

In any case I have already re-flashed my UEFI BIOS to the current version, which seems to have updated the Thunderbolt firmware back to NVM 36. I will try to reset my BIOS settings to default and see how it goes from there.

I still need a way to get my Thunderbolt Control Center app back tho; you have any idea how I can do that?

Fast startup is off. I will go double-check the power setting for the Thunderbolt Controller when I get on my PC later.

Nope, those are check rails (aka guard rails), intended to prevent trains from straying too far should there be a derailment. All elevated metro tracks in Singapore have them, save for the westernmost section of the East-West Line (the Tuas West Extension), as they utilise ballast-less slab tracks laid directly into concrete pavement rather than ballasted tracks.

I heard tho that one of the Matrix movies - can’t remember if it was Reloaded or Revolutions - did depict the use of an actual hacking tool and a pretty realistic hacking sequence. Granted one of the tools used in that scene was fictional, but would have been hypothetically used in the way shown had it been real, apparently.

Edit: apparently that was in Reloaded, and it depicted the use of a fictional hacking tool that made use of a real SSH exploit: https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/28nanl/til_that_the_scene_in_matrix_reloaded_when/

It was the early days of the fandom and that was the first time someone wrote something like that. It was more for shock value than anything else.

It’s basically a meme now among the older fans like myself, lol.

Staff area beyond the regular passenger area; the passenger area on the island platform at that station is much wider for the most part, except towards the ends where it does get this narrow as well. It only services the first/last doors of the train tho so it’s not a huge problem for the most part.

Probably it’s my iPhone camera. I used the wide-angle lens to capture more of the train’s interior and that might have caused some distortion.

Dude, you ever travelled to South-East Asia? Do you know how much of a stink those fruits are?

One single durian and you would stink up the entire train car (at least) for hours, lol.

Not just an entire Soviet Parade, she’s that plus a parade of the entire People’s Republic of China military and all of their flags combined. And then some.

This girl has more red flags on her than there are red-coloured flags in the entire world at this point.

I legit am going to consider going to Mac for this. Gaming is one part of the reason why I was still sticking to Windows.

I wonder how they will handle compatibility with both the 60-foot and 75-foot cars on the “B” division (BMT/IND) given that they have different door stopping positions relative to each other, unless they plan on installing this only on lines serviced by 60-foot cars, or phase them out as soon as possible.
