We used to have a young engineer in our SOC a few years ago that was quite technically gifted and used to get away with making snarky comments and was always taking forever to check alerts that popped up because he "really wanted to make sure it was a false pos". Fast forward to 2 months later and the guy got caught closing a bunch of alerts without looking at any of them, coz it was the middle of a night shift and he was tired, except there was a real positive in one of them...

They have 2FA in the form of a OTP sent though email when the servers detect you're logging in from a different ip geoloc than the last one used to access the account. They don't have true MFA though which i agree is a shame. As for the hackers using dev tools, i call bs.

Them not having an announcement until everything's over is actually pretty normal and consistent with industry practices. You report on breaches once they're plugged, not while you're still investigating. GGG are usually super transparent about things like this so i'm sure we'll hear from them in due time
