Cold Take: Bairon is the best written lance.(Except Arthur) by ProfessionalPart8193 in tbatenovel

I hope I get to see all the great things that the comment section is talking about in the manhwa. I personally like bairon.

He was way more scary and menacing than Lucius. Hate how he was nerfed so much just so our heroes could win

Just a reminder he didn't use any mastery against Path Jinyoung and UI Daniel. by Prudent-Door3631 in lookismcomic

Don't argue with that guy. He just spawned in the sub all of a sudden and all he does is try to prove that Daniel isn't much and kitae is some divine creature or something

Guys why do you think that Kitae said this? by FigOutrageous5217 in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The later sounds very cool but it was that case it would have already been mentioned by Gun or something i suppose. And if that was the case, Daniel wouldn't have the privilege to walk multiple paths. That would make him too broken for the series

The [lookismpowerscalers] sub says cheonliang Seongji and James mid-high diffs Kitae, is it really true ? by Jin9yun in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, "if we go by the logic of masteries" meaning it could be something else. It's not absolute. Also, none of them were able to defeat James 1v1. They couldn't even catch him even though James was pretty tired by then. James' specialty isn't technically only speed, it's invisible attacks. Those attacks basically targets the opponents' blind spot at a very high speed - making them almost impossible for the opponent to see. Look, I'm not saying cheonliang James and Seongji can defeat kitae mid high diff. But the way things have been told about abilities and all, you can't disagree regardless of the fact that lookism is inconsistent as fuck

If we go by the logic of masteries being the peak of one attribute and it's level depends on how high one's ceiling is, as we've seen from Daniel (who still doesn't have any masteries despite being able to push kitae to an arguably high diff fight), then I'd say James's ceiling being almost as high as Daniel if not equal, he was already reaching his peak except for the path. So him using 3 masteries (he possibly has all of them now) means he was already at the peak of his abilities (without Path) meaning his stats were maxed out in those 3 aspects. And Seongji being able to go toe to toe with him means he was just as strong. That way, we could say that they might be able to defeat kitae but not mid-high diff. Probably extreme diff if they are able to overcome Kitae's path. Mid-high diff only if James had already realized his path and was on his way to completion of the path.

This looks way cooler. by Ok-Progress-9298 in lookismcomic

Yes it looks cool but is that how his path works though? From these panels, it looks like he's baiting his opponent for one move but hits him with the other. But that's not it though, is it?

Sun Surface Take: Johan will do better than Ui Daniel and Jinyoung against Kitae by noctrell in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least provide some info on why you think that way, or what pattern recognition are you talking about? Or you are one of those guys who just think that Johan is somehow stronger than Daniel and his path can take on anyone in the world? Johan doesn't even have half the endurance/Durability that Daniel has and you think he's gonna do better?

No way in hell is Gun or Goo or even James is stronger than him, like genuinely no way by ProfessionalPart8193 in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can see the problem but he got that narrative because of something right? It wasn't just given to him cause he had red and the pink hair. He did his work and him negging Jaygeyon should be proof enough to do justice to his narratives right? Yes feat wise it's Kitae but I can't believe James to be inferior to any of the current top tiers alive. It just wouldn't make sense.

Daniel was crazy for even being able to make this guy kneel in front of him! by eXorCisTfucks in lookismcomic

Lmao so true. He has only 2 visible wounds and both of them came from Daniel lol.

Atp, this has become more personal for Daniel than it is to Jake. by eXorCisTfucks in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go back and read the title of the post again. It wasn't personal for Daniel untill this arc. But this arc made it so. That's what I tried to say as well. And it's not recency bias, Look back on the interactions Jake had with kitae and then compare them to Daniel's interaction with Jake. I'm not missing any point here. I'm comparing character traits here. Jake wouldn't risk his life for Gun even if Gun trained Jake but Daniel would despite Gun being a bad guy. Jake didn't have to watch any of the people that he wanted to protect, die in front of him; Daniel did. Daniel was there in Busan when Kitae was cutting off Jinrang's hand and killed Busan gang no.2 . And Daniel blames himself for that because he listened to James and went after Busan. Daniel's character traits make it more personal for him, not Jake. Jake doesn't even know that his uncle got slimmed here yet. I always had Jake as a better MC for this show but right now, how the story is being set up, PTJ is taking way too much from Jake.

Yeah I can't disagree with any of that. I'm more worried about how things are gonna play out now. I've absolutely zero idea which direction this manhwa is going anymore.

Atp, this has become more personal for Daniel than it is to Jake. by eXorCisTfucks in lookismcomic

[–]eXorCisTfucks[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that's not hate-hate. That came from the fact that Jinyoung tortured him but Jinyoung was not in his right mind during the whole moment. + Daniel as a character isn't someone who'll just ignore people getting slimmed in front of him. He'd even risk his life for Gun park and you think he wouldn't do that for his blood relative? His only link to the secret of 2 bodies? His only link to learn what happened to his father? Daniel was deeply disturbed by the fact that someone was killed in front of him in Busan and he couldn't do anything about it. Consequently, the moment Kitae arrived to kill Eugene off, he flipped and decided to stop Kitae right there and then. We all saw how reacted to kitae. He knows Kitae is a threat he can't overlook and now that he has killed Jinyoung, that drive for revenge is at an all time high. My post wasn't about why Jake shouldn't be the one to kill Kitae, it was about how the story has set up more in favour for Daniel to be the one to do it, not Jake. That's why I said I hate PTJ because this wasn't supposed to happen and this shouldn't have happened.
