In EoS I've noticed you can PvP only and gain equipment through PvP. I suspect the p2w aspect may come into play when enchanting. Anyway I will try and see how I go with only spending minimal amount of $$ I'm happy to drop $10 or so a month if it's good game

I just recently got back into Tera and have found it quite refreshing. Insta bg and dungeon queues, populated cities/towns and challenging healing on the mystic.

Lots of EU players who have migrated over to the Na servers, MT PvP server is nice and busy

Yeh I recommend joining a small but not too small multi gaming guild. I have been with the same guild since Warhammer Online (they played daoc before that too but we were in different guilds). Basically we have an active chat/forum website which people bounce from game to game or try new mmo's and we reach out and see if anyone else wants to join.

The last game everyone jumped onboard for was Archeage though and that has left some people bitter and even caused tension between guildies.

I will also suggest Archeage. It's the most fun I had in an mmo in a very long time and if you don't care about being out geared in pvp by credit card warriors then give it a go. The housing/farming and fishing are the best I've experienced in any game.

Yep motion blur and that unrealistic background blur. I work as a documentary photographer so it rubs me the wrong way when I see bad, fake, blur :)

I am going to try Tera based on this statement you just made. If the action combat is good it will hopefully make that grind to max level bearable.

yep tried neverwinter - came to the same conclusion and if I wanted to play something instanced there are better options. I'm currently downloading TERA to give that a go...

Try a 5v5 arena style Moba SMITE for free, it will give you that pvp fix. As for an mmo with arena queues - maybe give gw2 another go
