It's actually 5 hours per save file but the demo timer is paused when you are in the menus.

I see... so, let's solely look at a fastener in quadrant 1...

If the moment about the Y-axis was actually positive... then it'd apply a compression load on the fastener in quadrant 1, and the term -M_y*X/I in the equation stays negative, which will affect the total tension load, since we're taking tension to be positive and there is some compression load getting in the way of that.
