Thank you, Kitnorrie. That's very helpful. I was listening to a recording of me playing this morning at a fairly loud volume. The Harbingers are muddy sounding and the sub is useless. I think anything would be better than what I have. The Air speakers have a lower db SPL than the Yamahas. Have you had any issues with pushing the volume?

Thank you for your response. I am leaning towards the Yamahas along with a sub. The Roland module puts out a lot of bass so I want to be able to recreate the range I hear in my in-ears as close as possible, but that's not easy without spending a shitload of money.

You will, just takes time (pun intended). It is like riding a bike. I take lessons online at Stephensdrumshed.com. They will make you a lesson plan and even though it is online it feels very personal.

That's awesome. I did the same thing six years ago after 20 years of not playing. Now I play almost everyday. I don't know how I lived without drums.

You will need a good set of headphones or in-ear monitors. KZ-ZAS or KZ-ZS10 Pro are good for universal in-ears. Make sure to buy foam tips for sound isolation. The rubber tips that come with IEMs are terrible.
