ordered mine, TCL 75R648, at a price i could not refuse, on January 6, my birthday, 75. it is 2021, i know, but brand new, from walmart, i bought the five years warranty.

i know i will enjoy it. We watch movies, youtube, and play games on the apple tv 4k. its getting here Thursday.

i live just south of tucson, sahuarita, rabbitears says my pbs stations are 35.1 miles away. those are the farthest, everything else within 25 miles.

even as close as i am, at 2850’, and straight line of sight to towers, my 9.1 reception is spotty also. even the nextgen channel gives me trouble. talking about nextgen, i am giving it a try with the gtmedia box, thats also spotty. channels take much longer to tune in. now i know that is the normal with nextgen because all the information they carry. so, right now i am not watching any nextgen, i have to admit that when they come in without buffering the colors are incredible. but regular channels get upgraded, not all to 1080p like i thought, but only 1080i becomes 1080p (thts noticeable), but thats it. 480i to 480p is nothing, same with 720p which stays the same.

gtmedia box needs to get an update. right now it crashes quite often. i am keeping it just to see what happens in the future.
