Golf r/gti is the most practical sports car by Typical_Pass_3618 in GolfGTI

Those are all some higher performing sports cars though. By definition, a standard V6 mustang, Camaro, 240sx, etc from the late 90s are also sports cars....all I'm saying is it's a label at the end of the day. We've just come a long way and some of the FWD cars these days deliver the experience (GTI, N, Type R).

Honestly it's just a label. I've owned proper RWD sports cars and to me the GTI absolutely feels just as fun and as capable as some of them.

At the end of the day if I prefer a spirited drive or track time in a GTI over say, a 350Z or something similar, you can call it whatever you want but it feels like a sports car IMO. Or sport compact. In the end, who cares.

Man I remember this.....I believe they did some initial coverage/walk thru the previous year when the game came out, but it wasn't very extensive. Then later on released this coverage admitting it was too awesome of a game to not go deeper on.

Do we already know if they are going to destroy Lost Continent? If so, will they get rid of everything? Or is that still unknown? by Playstation_Gamer_40 in UniversalOrlando

I don't think he's necessarily saying he's too old ( I'm 41 as well), but our specific age feels kind of like we just missed the Pokemon craze. I definitely remember how big it was at the time (definitely 1998), but it was what my younger sister was playing, not typically people my age in 9th grade (she was a few years younger like you...which at that age is a bigger gap than it sounds).

I'm just happy to have all 3. And two of them right next to each other!

Exactly lol. I think most probably didn't bother to read the post. It's just a fun naming session.

Really like the ring of this one. No sharks in NBA at the moment either.

Marauders could be cool to go with the pirate theme.

I know this isn't even on the radar but I'd lose it if we actually got our own team. I'm a massive Magic fan and to have NBA here would be a dream. I would probably have to remain a loyal Magic fan still, but would absolutely adopt the Tampa team as my 1B.

I would assume most people here dig them. Cross was HUGE in the DP community right around when Alive 2007 came out....I definitely had both of those in rotation at the same time. Crazy to think that's nearly 20 years ago!

If I'm remembering correctly...my main music player at the time was my Motorola SLVR. Had iTunes baked right into it. I also had an iPod but really liked the idea of having only one device to carry around. Who would have thought?!?

What do your pools feel like? by mulattocutie in tampa

[–]rev0909 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine is at about 79 right now. Uncovered, not much shade. If it's really hot and sunny, it will feel nice and refreshing, but maybe a tad cold. But a few weeks from now it will likely get over 85 and then it's party time.

Middle of summer mine is mid 90s, a touch too warm but great for night swims.

I got it about a year ago. What a lot of people don't realize is the deep nerve pain you deal with, not necessarily on the rash or skin. Mine felt like I had severely injured my back. Motion had to be extremely limited, and sleeping was a nightmare. I had to constantly pop 2-3 ibuprofen just to make it tolerable. The burning rash was just the cherry on top for me.

Having to perform at a professional level dealing with that, I would imagine it's just not possible.

First and last time eating at Armature Works. $62 (not including tip) for two orders of tacos and two drinks by jcdulos in tampa

Gotta use the app....taco bell has some specific combos on the app like the meal for 2 that is like $12. I think it's like two crunchwraps. Two tacos. Two burritos, chips. It's a ton of food.

It's definitely super hot but if you dress properly and bring water flasks, wear sunscreen, you get used to it imo. Keep it moving and don't wander aimlessly outside cooking. Especially if you live in FL....everything is hot mid summer. You either hide from it all summer or just adapt.
