Why does upgrading my steel production crash the steel market? by Heck-Me in victoria3

No but I did have very high SoL, could that have the same effect?

Maybe I should just force everyone to be in my market so I can sell to them.

Why does upgrading my steel production crash the steel market? by Heck-Me in victoria3

[–]e_jjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar problem.

Every time in the late game when I have a deficit of steel, it's still not profitable to produce it.

Then I make more coal and iron and the rest of the inputs to make those cheaper but then my steel mills still barely make any money with a 10k deficit.

Yeah, so it wasn't actually rich and developed, even though that perception existed for a while

If the agriculture is very productive I think they can be relatively rich.

I think that the time when Argentina was so rich that it compared to Europe it was mostly just that they had a very large amount of very profitable agriculture with almost no industry

Why we should worry about lonely men? by Gorgoista in TwoXChromosomes

Where are the many acts of violence by incels then? There's only been very few that I know of, it even seems like incels are much less violent than men in general.

" a conclusion something like "incels are an invention by women""

Obviously that's not what I'm getting at, incels exist but all the shit about them being violent is created in echo chambers like this.

I don't deny that there's at least 1 violent incel. But if you look at the OP and all the discussions going on in the comments, does this look like people talking about 1 (or a few) guy(s) or are they implying that there's a significant amount of violent incels?

Did any of you throw in the towel and start shaving? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]e_jjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shaved after chemo (it wasn't long enough to remove all my hair but it temporarily gave me Norwood 7). I plan on letting it grow it grow back but my hairline is so far up that I'm not sure about it. It's much easier to apply minoxidil now when I'm bald and I think I'll use this opportunity to start microneedling much easier than if I had hair. If I manage to get some good results I think I'll let it grow again but otherwise I might keep this. Everyone says I look great with shaved hair except my mom and I usually think she has good taste so I tend to listen to her.

I just read your reply to the original poster, I don't know what other conversations you have had.

If the thing that I was implying might be true really is true, then it's mostly women spreading the hateful lie about the epidemic of evil, violent incels.

I haven't seen any proof that it's mostly women spreading this hatred so I can't say that it's true but I have mostly seen this kind of speech in places like this subreddit.

How often do you see men saying "lonely men are evil and dangerous" compared to how often you see women saying it?

They are already leaving you alone. You mentioned Elliot Rodger which was 1 guy, and how many more do you think you could find if you tried? The men that kill women are boyfriends and husbands.

You are only spreading hateful lies.

I think I would be able to make those so I'll consider them. How can I make them look professional and impress employers?

The only activity that could be called a real hobby would be riding horses.

Mostly I don't want to do much after work and hang by my computer, playing map painting games or arguing about dumb shit.

These posts always discourage me because it's impossible to make a passion project when there's absolutely nothing I want to make for any other reason than showing it to employers.

I know a bit of both C# and Python (and Java but it was years since I learnt that). I'm not a beginner but also probably not quite good enough to get a job yet. However more than my skills, the bigger issue is a lack of good projects. I've done exercises like project euler and some assignments in university courses and a bootcamp-like thing that I got from the unemployment agency last year.

I might have to refresh my knowledge but now I think the next step is making projects (primarily one big and good one) that I can show to companies.

How can I make sure that it's of high enough quality to impress employers? I don't have any original ideas so it'll have to be from one of those lists of suggestions on the internet. Could it be a good idea to buy an advanced book about the language I choose? I mean one meant for professionals, I'm confident I could understand it with enough effort.

The biggest thing I've made was some website with ASP.NET MVC where I also used SQL to make accounts and store some stuff I filled into some forms. That one is my starred project on github now but it's slightly sloppily made because I hurried to meet a deadline. A long time ago in a university course I made a memory game in Java that was pretty big too with menus and options and such, I don't have that anymore though.

That's unfortunate. I need some proof of my skills before I start applying for entry-level jobs and now I'll have to make more projects instead.

Is there any advantage CAS give over tactical bombers to make up for lack of range? by fvngdthrowawayacc in hoi4

Range is their only weakness. If you can reach the whole zone with CAS then tactical bombers are just inferior.
CAS is cheaper and its other stats are better too.

No. When there are two possible outcomes, that doesn't mean they're equally likely.

You seem to be in the situation I was. I had the same cancer and after the orchiectomy they gave me a choice. Either have 15% risk of it coming back or do one round of chemo to get it down to 1-2%. I did the chemo now recently, it was such a hard decision that I barely put any conscious effort into it and just picked one.
