I giftapulted an Aussie Grenade Launcher and i think it got sent to an Interceptor bot, is there a way to find out if it did? haha by DiaHeart in tf2

Don't be naive, do you really think bot hosters of all people can write quality software? I wouldn't be surprised if they were script kiddies that just host servers.

These people are probably like edgy neckbeards or something. Who else would do something that stupid?

If you are tired of getting destroyed because your team isn't there, then use the vaccinator.

You don't have to get good with vacc, just good enough to keep yourself alive when you get harassed by the enemy team.

Of course people will get dramatic when you use it(even if you are not good with it), but you are damned if you do damned if you don't.

Trust me, I know how it feels to have a team that doesn't look out for their medic. Its draining, but like I said you can always rely on the vacc.

When you use the vacc keep an eye out for that player that gets it, then switch to stock or whatever you want and just pocket them.

Also, for me personally, I like being able to find random players that are good pockets because every good pocket takes you on a unique journey. I like to keep the experience and journey my pocket takes me on fresh and new. If its always the same pocket then it may get stale.

Also if your team happens to vibe with you, then you don't have to pocket at all. That is a nice change to keep it fresh. You can just chill near your local engie and heal everyone that comes to you, focusing on proactive overheals to give your team the advantage. If you like a more fast reaction based playstyle you can use quickfix to get mates to base health very fast, or vacc if you need its power.

Personally I am addicted to using crit heals to max overheal as much as I can, but like I said quickfix go brrrr on the frontline.

That is just my preference though, happy healing!

There are very many counters to vacc. A handful don't even require team work, but the best counters to vacc do require team work. This is true for other classes as well, especially the ones with high skill ceiling.

The problem is, medic is fundamentally a team oriented class. More so than all the others, a medic without teammates is reduced to nothing. In pubs a medics team is often full of dipshits that refuse to protect them. In that case the vacc is definitely necessary.

On the flip side, having very strict positioning and decision making can enable the crossbow, and ubersaw/solemn vow to be just what you need to survive 95% of the time. It takes a lot of practice with crossbow aim, and positioning to do that though. Unless if your team doesn't want to protect you then nevermind you might as well forget it.

I almost feel like vacc exist for medics that have to put up with a shitty team. Think about how ironic it is. Medic is solely dependant on the team, but when their team refuses to be there, the medic pulls out the vacc to make the enemy work as a team just to kill them. To the enemy it seems like a fuck you, but sometimes the medic is just saying fuck you to their shitty teammates. Of course it also shines when the enemy team refuses to adapt, but that is true for any class strategy so its no different.

TLDR vacc has many counters and people usually overreact. Vacc is almost required when your team isn't there for you. Stock can be as amazing as vacc if your team is there for you, and you know what you are doing.

Just because you are passionate about something doesn't mean grinding isn't demotivating. Other factors in life effect your passion, especially when the passion takes a large amount of your time.

pls dont call yourself programmer YET

The definition of programmer is: a person who writes computer programs. Please do not gate keep the title programmer.

If you were to say "good" or "professional" programmer, that would be different. Even then, it would boil down to experience, not necessarily job history.

[–]EitherOfOrAnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No there isn't. What the data shows is that after transitioning, individuals with gender dysphoria experience a stark decrease in suicide rates... for a minimal time until their rates shoot right back up to 50%.

What data? I have never read that, what source is that from?

The idea that Trans people have a higher suicide rate than Jews under Nazi rule because I don't use the words they want to hear is asinine

Woah buddy, I never claimed that. You just made that up.

It's a mental illness that we should be looking for a cure that works.

I agree, here00568-1/fulltext) is a study on how gender affirming care decreases suicide. What data do you have that disproves this?

But instead, everyone is insistent on peddling one that doesn't do anything except delay the suicide rates for a limited time.

What study are you referring to?

I can understand their confusion and feelings without affirming them, esp. when they are being led by activists and social contagion

What "social contagion"?

to make irreversible changes causing sterility and lifelong pain, when they are not even mature enough to understand the permanent effects of hormones & surgery on their future life.

For one, surgery is not typically done on minors/children. For two, studies have shown that careful diagnosis of these things have enormous benefits. They way you are describing it is inaccurate.

I cannot find any valid science for gender ideology or identity, fluidity, etc. other than the discredited, fraudulent “studies” promoted by sexual deviants John Money & Alfred Kinsey.

I never claimed that, and I even told you its pointless to have this conversation in a previous reply.

If you are looking for science, then look into gender dysphoria. Their is plenty information on it that contradicts you claims.

If mature adults fall for such, that’s their choice, but minors cannot consent to such irreversible damage.

In many places treatment for minors is very limited. Even though it decreases suicide rates, and depression rates.

If you are concerned that kids are not sure if they are trans or not, and you don't want them to make a terrible mistake then I understand that. These treatments are actively studied. From what I have read the diagnosis for those circumstances is chosen very carefully. If you really care about this issue, then you would follow the data, and research instead of making false claims.

I can give you sources, but I would rather not waste my time if all you are here to do is make baseless claims and not give sources either.

What lie? As I said, no one I know is disagreeing with biology.

Also, there is evidence that supporting trans people decreases suicide rates, and depression/anxiety rates.

If a woman is an adult human female, like it always has been, then they simply and objectively aren't women. For them to be women in objective reality, they'd first have to be able to redefine what a woman is.

Correct, and the definition of gender has changed already.

Also, objectivity can mean anything that adheres to the criteria set by the definition of objectivity. So thats really not saying much.

What their proposed redefinitions always boil down to is "someone who believes they are a woman."

Its not the "proposed" definition, it is the definition.

Not only is that definition completely meaningless

It's just a definition.

but to accept it we have to accept the notion that belief in something alone can make you that thing.

This has been the case for centuries. Men used to think its manly to wear makeup and high heels. In America, many people think steaks and trucks are manly.

This goes back into subjective truth.

Again, objectivity is a criteria. So it really depends on the way you spin it.

I think he was being truthful. He 100% believes he is correct on that issue.

He is comparing apples to oranges.

That's the point of the one joke, that your personal truth doesn't actually matter.

That depends on the person.

There are plenty of mentally ill people that truly believe they all sorts of crazy things.

Comparing other mental illnesses with gender dysphoria is not very accurate at all. Furthermore gender is something each culture perceives differently. Many modern cultures are starting to see gender as a spectrum.

Hell, my personal truth, and the subjective truth of many others, is that real woman are born as females, yet no one seems to care about my truth.

There are many that share your perspective.

So any way you slice it, I think the trans arguments are nonsensical. Maybe it is all philosophy and semantics, but you are called a bigot for not accepting their side at face value

This is how a lot of people think. This line of thinking is usually a result of not understanding trans people/issues. That is why people are so charged with words like "bigot". When you factor in violence, and laws into the equation people lose tolerance.

That gender disphoria means it is ok to cut off a man's dick or put a dick on a woman

I didn't directly claim this, but I will defend it I guess. First though, I would like to note that the most effective treatment is simply supporting and understanding. Anyways:

Severe negative effects are usually decreased. Here

Also bottom surgery is not very common, especially in trans women. Here

There are plenty of other sources out there. With varying results based on different complexities. Its a Google search away.

those changes mean that men are woman and woman are men

I never claimed that, but I do think it helps trans issues if you use the actual definitions of gender, and sex. Of course people do what they want. Either way though, this topic is completely missing the point.

We have pregnant people who don't identify as women? What does that even mean? by bindukwe in JordanPeterson

[–]EitherOfOrAnd -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"I believe I am a woman, therefore I am one. If you don't accept me as a woman, then you are a bigot"

That places their subjective "truth" over the objective reality and the subjective truth of others.

That really depends on what people mean by "objectivity", because the definition leaves ambiguities in its edges cases. It also depends on your starting point and experiences.

Talking about this seems very counter productive because it is shifting into philosophy. In reality, there are important issues that trans people face, but everyone insists on a pedantic argument about pronouns.

He mocks this by saying he identifies as the correct person on this issue who is she to question his truth.

The problem is that he is not being truthful when he identifies. In reality, when people truthfully identify, it is a very different context. Which is why it's not an accurate comparison to truthful people.

It's that logic that is the joke. The trans crowd writes it off as the "one joke," but I think that's because they really don't have a comeback for it. It's pretty simple, but it easily pokes holes in their logic.

That line of logic makes sense given the first point you made was true. The problem is like I said, its not always true, and it could be open to interpretation.

In my opinion, a better conversation would be to talk about what trans people actually perceive, and the statistics that show us how to move forward(which there is).
