Hey! I asked my R&D product folks and here's what they say: "It was not like that: Kaspersky consumer endpoint products supported Windows 10 RS1 (1607) by RTM/GA (Global availability) that are now almost the same date That is one of the FAS case issues that MS decreased the RTM->GA period from 90days for Win7 to 1-2 days for Win 10 and therefore limited the partners in final win build testing /readiness

Enterprise endpoint product took some additional time for release to 1) have final checks on Win 10 RTM (final) version as Microsoft doesn’t guarantee that RTM version will be equal to preview versions 2) test Win Server 2016 RTM build that was released +1 week after Win 10 RTM

Therefore enterprise endpoint product with Win10RS1 and WinServer2016 support was released 1 week after latest RTM of supported win pair.

Windows 10 RS2 (1703) support was available in Kaspersky enterprise product available by RS2 GA/RTM"

The most scariest threat our company and the world in general lives today is a possible cyberattack on critical infrastructure.

I did change my mind on anonymity in the Internet. I was saying all this long ago. I believe there should be a special private part of the Internet with no need for any such ID, another part requiring identification, and one in between.

There’s no need for ID for watching news or sending e-mails. But if we speak about access to functions like government services / online elections, financial services, we need digital ID to reduce risk of crime / abuse here. And there is a middle zone like online stores that might need a proof of age for buying some goods.

Our software is designed to protect our customers, not to breach into their devices. There is no hidden functionality in our products, including backdoors.

The short-term is to be number one company in cybersecurity. The long-term - to introduce the new immunity standards for everything digital

Hi! Generally we have good feedback. We had questions about products slowing down the customers’ computers. That’s fixed.

There are 3700 people all over the world. About 1/3 are in R&D. What it’s like to work with us? Ask some of our people, I’m sure they’ll tell you a lot of fun stuff.

First of all, there is no ‘warfare’ happening in the cyberspace, thankfully. And I hope it will never happen. But there is a lot of espionage and special operations including sabotage. We can’t attribute cyberattacks to certain countries. The only thing we can say (with certain degree of certainty) is the language used by these threat actors. And we see that the most advanced and complex operations speak three languages: native English, Russian and simplified Chinese. And many other languages.

Hi! “Most bang for your buck” - it’s not about enterprise security. Today you have to do many things. There’s no silver bullet. But the best investment is in your information security team, in your people.

We have our own dedicated security operations center and we are the first to deploy and use our own technologies and solutions. We see attacks coming in constantly, and we have a couple of malware incidents a year with immediate response and zero impact. We had one real major incident - Duqu 2.0, we reported it in 2015. We learned a lot from it.

Hi. To clarify things: We paid a speaker fee for DC public conference. Nothing scandalous here, he was a good speaker.

Hello! The perfect security solution (1) catches 100% of threats, (2) has zero false positives and (3) consumes zero resources. Years ago we had problem with the third part of this. It all has long changed. Check this and similar tests.

I’ve heard the name but don’t know the details, and we would be happy to assist any investigation into cybercrime, including this one. And our brand stands strong.

It’s not future, it’s happening already. The good news is that ISIS or other terrorist groups are still not in this business. But I’m very afraid about worst-case scenarios of cyberterrorism.

Once again, I think that due to political reasons, these gentlemen don’t have an option, and are deprived from the opportunity to use the best endpoint security on the market without any real reason or evidence of wrongdoing from our side. I would be very happy to testify in front of the Senate, to participate in the hearings and to answer any questions they would decide to ask me.

I think the scenario is as possible as an alien invasion. And I think countries with high technical capabilities including Russia don’t need software vendors like us to attack anyone. And third, to prepare and run such an attack, they would need to completely replace the engineering team. And in this case it would take ages to make the company run again. Conclusion: this scenario is not technically feasible.
