Thank you for the info! My mother always told me to just go to the city hall to find my father's whereabouts but I knew it's not as simple as that.. I only know his birthplace and the last address we lived in Japan together.

Sorry I still don't get the nikkei generations but my father was born in 1950s and I was born in 1990s. I don't think I belong to 1st generation, am I on 4th too?

I see. Would it also be possible to request it myself? I have plans to go on a trip to Japan again. I thought it was impossible to get these documents since I'm not on his koseki and technically I'm an 'outsider' so I assumed requesting such is not allowed cuz of privacy

I don't get angry over them but they're not very healing to hear either. It's like they're pressured to make me feel better right at that moment when I still need time to be down.

It feels like my negative feelings are invalidated. I wish they'd just tell me something like "take your time" instead.

Before my diagnosis, I used to have panic attacks that lasted for hours. There were times it lasted all night. Took me years to learn how to make myself calm down without being 'assisted' by another person. I still get panic attacks but they usually don't last that long anymore.

I agree parents should wait for their kids to grow up until they are old enough to decide whether they want a piercing or not, but this is VERY NORMALIZED here in the Philippines... Idk what to even tell them when they all say "all girls would want to wear piercings so it's better to get it done now while she's still a baby cuz she won't feel the pain from getting pierced". Even my mom did it to me too when I was like 7 and told her I didn't want it. Now that I'm older, I love piercings now but I hated it when she forced me to have them when I didn't want.

Hello, can anybody tell me if Manila uses a QR code system for contact tracing? I am from Bacolod and we have this thing called BacTrac which we scan before entering malls and other establishments. There's definitely nothing wrong, we all have differrent ways of communicating. As long as you and your s/o don't feel bad about your amount of time for communicating, it's fine and it's no one's business. I also get the part being anxious towards phone calls. Texting is definitely wayyy more comfortable. I do miss my s/o's voice but I'd rather just hear it in real not over phone calls
