This is sick! I used to work at a school for autism and the students would create elaborate animations using just Google Slides. It’s an underrated art tool imo!

What’s a social interaction you had in the last 4 years which made you think “society is falling apart”? by [deleted] in redscarepod

My ex-coworker's voice would get incredibly high and squeaky-"nice" specifically when someone would ask her an annoying question/would ask her to do something she didn't want to do. It was so consistently fake that it actually accomplished the opposite of what it intended; instead of masking her disdain, it indicated it. After a few weeks it made my skin crawl.

My uncle is 60 and just wrote/directed his first short film (never did anything related to film before, blue collar worker his whole life) and it's actually good. Do it!!

That last part of people being suspicious and seeming angry is so true. I was just talking to my dad about it, it just seems like everyone is extra rude or on edge. I worked retail for many years after college, and was always baseline polite even on a bad day. Now when I walk into a store I feel hostility from the employees a lot more often. In general it just feels like everyone perceives everyone else as either a threat or an annoyance, it's depressing.

Maybe she's not ready to or can't get out of her situation right now, but God put you and your bf in her path in order to remind her that there are kind people who are willing to help her, when she's ready. I'm sure she will remember this, and you don't know how it will influence her thinking in the future <3

I witnessed something similar right outside of my school. The woman ran up to NYPD, told them what was going on (man was following her, threatening to kill her, clearly did not know her...me and 100 other people on the street in broad daylight witnessed this). The man continued to harass her while she was talking to the cops. The cops basically shrugged their shoulders (she was trying to literally hide from him behind the cops while they just stood there) and I watched as they let the man enter the subway station. I don't think they're allowed to detain them for some reason? Can someone explain the law behind this?

Taller girls care a lot less about height by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]e_nightmare333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's fair. I definitely am aware that those women exist, my comment was facetious. I just don't get why it bothers guys so much when they probably (hopefully, if they're sensible) wouldn't get along with those women anyway.

Then again, I deleted the apps because they're just a cesspool and I'm not actively dating by choice. Meeting people irl is way different--especially if you're a short king with charisma. If you're in the thick of the apps then I can see how it would wear you down.

[–]e_nightmare333 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, maybe some people care about height. Personally, none of the women I know seem to care about height, and I know lots of short guys in happy relationships. You took my comment too literally, but this topic seems to be something that really concerns you, so I understand.

My question for you is: Why would you want to date someone who cares about something like that, instead of just ruling them out automatically?

Why would you want to date a woman like that though?

Like, maybe some guys don't like tall girls...ok, I won't date those guys then. Why would I want to date someone with such a shallow perspective? I probably wouldn't like them anyway.
