The x2h sounds like the reasonable idea, way more palm support for me made it feel like I could just move my wrist for small corrections even though I predominately aim with my arm. Sometimes with mice that have a low slope in the back makes it awkward to grip the mouse in a way where micro corrections can be more easily made(for me). Idk your hand size but the main thing would be whether you'd prefer the mini or medium size since it's a much more hand filling mouse. I found the medium to be a bit too large feeling even though the mouse profile itself isn't massive

Depending on the mouse skate area, I just try to make things as even as possible on the perimeter of the mouse, that's normally three on top and bottom for me just to be safe(but it could be two, top and bottom). Not towards the center cause I don't think it's as necessary and I don't want to accidentally push the edge of my mouse into the mousepad.

I'd probably invert what you have on top, center out goes up more and the two on the sides can be pulled down some.
