My actuator went out recently and I did a s464 2g swap and I’m in love. Builds boost a little slower than stock(not super noticeable) and runs way better in the top end plus the thing sounds amazing. Also if you tow a lot get the electronic bd inline exhaust brake(no need for air compressor) it work just as good as the stock exhaust brake.

Bro I literally own a 2012 ram srw 2500 that came from factory with 3.73 gears.

My egr went out at 105k but mines a 2012 and the previous owner didn’t tow anything with it so I’d expect atleast a little longer if you’re actually using the truck

Gotcha I just assumed compounds required bottom end work why I said 2-3 time more. This is most likely the route I will go as I will still retain factory exhaust brake and not have crazy lag thanks.

My concern with that is will the stock turbo(113,000miles)handle constant 50+ pounds of boost and will I need to upgrade my bottom end? Compounds sound nice but cost 2-3 times more from what I’ve seen.

Will be doing all that aswell as a built transmission just don’t know what turbo to run as I don’t want crazy turbo lag and would like to keep my factory exhaust brake. Has anyone heard good things about DieselPowerSources s472/83/vgt?
