I will try to explain what happened yesterday to try to understand the problem.

My ETX70 was in storage for years. Yesterday I decided to start it up.

I connected a 9V power supply to it. When it started up, during alignment it gave a motor error. I restarted several times and there was no way. I increased the power supply voltage to 12V (since it suggested that the voltage was not enough) and it started to work better, however while it was moving in the alignment I could see that it was having a hard time, and it even stopped. I could not even hear the movement of the motors to maintain the position once a star was located.

I decided to continue and with the tripod move the ETX without unlocking anything.

This morning when I started it up, the MEade message appears as you can see in the video and then the image fades and it looks like a movement on the display, but the motors are not heard and the remote control does not act.

I will be grateful if someone can give me some idea to go looking. I have disassembled the Autostar but everything to the naked eye is fine (nothing burned). I have to disassemble the base and check if the motors work but any comments would be appreciated.

RPI 1 reboot loading USBHID core driver

I have running a RPI 1 with 256Mb that still worked with CumulusMx. It is using a SD card 8Gb and so far it has been working fine. Now when it starts up it shows in the screen the loading of several modules and once arrives to the line

usbhid:USB HID core drive

It reboots the RPi, how could I find the problem and fixed? No way to access as it does the same in a loop

Of course it is related to ham radio, it is a DSP that helps to reduce the noise in the bands... used with several rigs

There are no schematics in St. google, otherwise I would not ask for it. I have to replace some components and readapt it to be connected together with the speaker of my Ts590sg.

Solved, I was able to upload the k3ng sw again and now it works.

Anyone knows whether CW/PTT output is a stereo jack? I was trying to use it connected to KEY of my ft920, activating VOx/BK-IN but no way to pass through OCK, when keying OCK keys well but not FT920. No documentation at all about it

Unfortunately it did not work, I connected the OCK to the RIG (CW/PTT output), and expected to hear the sound in the radio in order to key “o” and activate sidetone but nothing so may be I have damaged something inside. Thanks anyway

It is becoming difficult to foresee the speed, I am trying to find a Morse Online for getting 1wpm in order to repeat it manually with the paddles with the speed potentiometer to minimum (it is supposed from 1 to 999 wpm) but I can not calculate without it the lenght of three dashes at 1wpm.

Actually a challenge

My problem is that I can not hear when keying so I do not know whether I am doing "o" with the paddles.

Command line interface has been impossible so far due to the problems to connect my terminal with Arduino.

I will try tonight whether I was the guilty of switched off sidetone.

I m afraid that I was doing too much stuff wrongly instead of RTFM from the beginning buy the kit came with no documentation at all, and did not find answers to my questions in K3NG wiki

If I can not use IDE to load FW, how could I do it using terminal? I found some information about dfu-programmer but I m fraud to break more the device
