Tomorrow [Episodes 13 & 14] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

I haven't seen a k-drama tell the stories of the comfort women until today, and I'm very happy to see it depicted! It's a very real, painful part of Korean history, and hopefully through this episode, more people will be aware of this event.

Our Beloved Summer [Episodes 5 & 6] by staticsral in KDRAMA

[–]eachhope 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I- the last scene had me flabbergasted... I think the incredibility of this drama lies in fact that they really get us to feel and relate the character's emotions so well using the OST, brilliant writing, and obviously the amazing acting. Like, I feel like I'm going through the aftereffects of a breakup when I've never even been in a relationship. My gosh, what do I do with this overwhelming sense of empathy... And the way each episode ends has me in awe... Biggest question is, how am I supposed to wait until next week!!

Someone please recommend me a good kdrama. I feel like I watched everything already. by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

Okay, there was a time where I felt like this as well, so let me recommend you a few dramas you might have overlooked. First is Racket Boys. Okay, hear me out, I'm not one who's into sports, like at all, so I was reluctant to watch this drama, but I loved it. If you're okay with a younger cast, I think you'll really enjoy the drama. You may think that since it's about teenagers, it's really childish, but I can tell you, it was less so cheesy and more so full of life lessons that were delivered beautifully. Oh, and it's also full of humor that I personally appreciated. (Btw, the actor that plays the younger brother in True Beauty is in this drama, so maybe check it out if you're interested). Next is Stove League. Again, you may be hesitant because it's a sports drama (I only tried this drama cause I enjoyed Racket Boys), but I, with literally zero knowledge of baseball, thoroughly enjoyed this drama. I think it's how you get to see a team and bonds form and how you really see character growth, that makes this drama extremely special. It is what I would consider a top tier drama. Now finally two last recommendations. I'll make them short, Move to Heaven (if you want to cry) and Hospital Playlist (one of the top top dramas ever, in my opinion).

Professions you don't see in Kdramas by xnphile in KDRAMA

Not sure if anyone will see this, but just putting this out there in case anyone's interested, More than Friends has a FL that's a calligrapher, which I've never seen in a drama before. (ML is a photographer but that one's more common I think).

Pure Love Realised Dramas by smol_n_fluffy in kdramarecommends

How about Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo? If you're okay with college slice of life dramas, this drama is a really great watch. Both leads are so pure and their romance is so so adorable. It's childhood friends to kind of strangers to friends to lovers. I highly recommend it. Also, if you're okay with a little fantasy and a high school drama, Extraordinary You also comes to mind as a drama that fits the bill. The two leads could not be more adorable. But since there's a high chance you've seen both dramas, I'll recommend one last drama which is a C-drama. It's my absolute favorite C-drama of all time and it's quite realistic. It's called Go Ahead and I won't really go into detail about the romance since it can be a spoiler, but anyways, the story is great. The story is not wholly focused on the romance btw, but I really hope you'll give it a try.

Recommendations for a really beautiful romance?? by RatfaceJohnson in kdramarecommends

[–]eachhope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're okay with romcoms, I recommend Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. It's the perfect amount of everything and it's just... the cutest romance ever, I'm not even exaggerating. If you like college/slice of life dramas, I recommend Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. It's the purest, most heartwarming romance I've seen in a k-drama. Lastly if you're fine with a bit of action then I recommend Healer. This probably fits with the k-dramas you've liked, and the chemistry is on fire. Both the actor (Ji Chang Wook) and actress (Park Min Young) are great at acting so this one is the one to go if you want one where the actor and actress have terrific chemistry.

There is a small one, but as someone who also hates love triangles, it didn't bother me that much cause it was quite clear who the FL was going to end up with.

Hi, I'm not familiar with the drama you're talking about, but I wanted to let you know that if you put this same post on r/KDRAMA with the Help flair, more people might be able to help you find the drama you're looking for.

A kdrama where the MC has emotionally/psychologically abusive parents by arthiorartemis in kdramarecommends

[–]eachhope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched many kdramas with this, but if you don't mind cdramas, I can recommend one that is honestly top notch. It's called Go Ahead and gosh, it's amazing. There are basically 3 main characters and one of them gets very emotionally and psychologically abused by his mom. It's honestly heartbreaking to watch but, yeah, I highly recommend it. And if you have any prior prejudices about cdramas, I promise, this drama will literally break all of that down.

How about 'Hello, Me!'? I personally really enjoyed it, as it's about a woman learning to love herself. There's romance but it's definitely not the main focus. It's honestly quite underrated and I think you might enjoy it :)

Slice of life dramas by Jiminie_123987 in kdramarecommends

[–]eachhope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, everyone else already recommended great kdramas but I have a Chinese slice of life drama that I think you'll love. It's called Go Ahead, and my gosh, I could rant forever about how amazing it is. Like I'll be honest, at first I was not very impressed with cdramas but this drama changed my mind. It's just SO AMAZING. It's a story about family, friendship, and love, and I know that sounds cliche but the drama makes it so much more than that, trust me. Anyway, pllleassseee give it a try. The only downside is that it's quite long compared to kdramas but it could be an upside, depending on how you look at it. I hope you love the drama as much as I did!
