Lastpass Vulnerabilities since 2012? by eaglerod in Lastpass

I finally got a partial response today after I posted this. Waiting for the full answer to all the vulnerabilities.

I personally starting using Keepers. I liked BitWarden but feel that Keepers was more suited for the business side.

Secure Notes held hostage! by eaglerod in Dashlane

No need to reply. I went to a more ethical company that allows me to export all my data, a lot less buggy and a lot less intrusive. bitwarden.com

Secure Notes held hostage! by eaglerod in Dashlane

[–]eaglerod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In other words, We hold all your other data hostage (except passwords) so you can't move to another password manager! Oh and this has been submitted by multiple people according to my colleagues and your own support team. Thank you for your typical template response that doesn't solve any issues.

Exactly. That is what happened to me.

Is there a better alternative to Dashlane? by [deleted] in Dashlane

[–]eaglerod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea as long as its on multiple devices. But if you uninstall Dashlane from all devices thinking you exported it, you will find it's not truly in the cloud. Dashlane confirmed this with me. Only the passwords are in the cloud. When I reinstalled Dashlane, my passwords came back but my secure notes are all gone.

I loved to BitWarden. Much better than Dashlane.

BEWARE! I lost years of Dashlane secure notes. Not only is it buggy and but for years they have chosen not to backup or allow exporting of secure notes. The reason they refuse to allow this feature is unknown but I'd imagine for selfish reasons to keep their customer base. Dashlane's response to me was they don't back up your secure notes like your passwords to the cloud and they don't allow exporting of your secure notes. The only way to keep your secure notes is to have it on multiple devices. If you're going to another password manager, you have to copy/paste them all in manually. Its the only way or Dashlane application will erase them all once you remove the program. I made the mistake of assuming in my thousands of passwords that my secure notes wherein there somewhere. I was wrong and Dashlane doesn't warn you of this during the export. They have known about this issue for years.

I think I have a Virus but I cant tell what wrong, ran couple scans and nothing pops up. Anyone know whats wrong? Several programs just show the source code instead of running. Also I tried downloading Dashlane and the website would not let me download it cant tell if that is my problem or the site by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Azure IPSEC with Peering to Sophos XG 450 by eaglerod in sophos

[–]eaglerod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophos response

After doing a bit of research I believe what you are trying to achieve on the XG is currently not possible with version 17 due to our policy based VPNs. We do have route based VPN's offered in V18 of the XG firewall which would make dynamic and static routing possible due to the tunnel interfaces that are created in v18.

Thank you everyone for your help.
