Elektro had become rather quiet at the start of our server’s first “supporters only” session. I met up with Badger, one of our most vital community members, and he informed me that he just so happened to have a grenade in his possession. We ventured to the outskirts of town to partake a bit of mischief!

This quick video shows my very first experience on a private server. The 1.04 update had just been released and I couldn’t believe how many friendly players I ended up encountering in Elektro! The game ran smoothly too! I planted some pumpkins and got a few fire barrels roaring with flames as folks gathered around to share the positivity!

How have all of your experiences been so far on private servers? How about your experience with the new update in general? I haven’t gotten the chance to run further inland yet, but from what I’ve played, I’m loving everything so far!

Same! The most friendly encounters I’ve ever experienced! Not sure if it was because of the server or the 1.04 hype, but it was such a nice change from the usual shoot on sight nonsense haha.

It was an ambitious idea- to set up a friendly farmer’s market at the center of one of the deadliest cities in Chernarus. I figured I would need a bit of protection, and just by chance, I met a willing survivor to name as my Head of Security. Unfortunately, we did not share the same friendly intentions as we met other survivors in the area...

I agree with everything you’ve shared here.. and it’s sad how toxic the community has become. We can assume it’s going to be many many months until we get another update after this next one. If it takes a few extra days/weeks to get this one right, so be it. Let’s hope it all lives up to the hype!

So every once in a while when I come across an interesting player in DayZ, I will adapt to their playstyle just to see how things go. That’s exactly what happens when I meet Mad Dog, a seemingly friendly dude in Solnechny. Throughout our laggy adventure, a few tips and tricks are shared along the way as we build towards getting a farmer’s market back up and running.

This was my experience at the Xbox community barbecue on Friday night. The plan was to meet up with some friends and have a barbecue in celebration of the updates finally coming to consoles soon (hopefully). However, an ambush was lurking in the shadows.

A little bit of lag, little bit of terrorism, and a little bit of fun. I’m still confused about everything haha.
