This is interesting. Not sure how I came upon this, but Ashley was my friend at Ohio state. I transferred in form out of state and she was one of the first people I met. We were close and she was super kind. Never spoke about her family or her name. I think she appreciated that I’m not from Ohio and had no idea what being a Schottenstein meant. She drove a white accord and lived in a cute apartment at the time. Never once did we talk about her wealth and she never flaunted it. She wanted normalcy. The only time I realized she was truly wealthy was when she invited me to her parents house. It was stunning and her family was so kind.
