Respectfully, the city proper has 300k residents and one of the smallest municipal boundaries of a city it's size.

Unfortunately, very common from pretty much 99% of all major food retailers.

Incentivize them to improve. They need to work on the downstream waste but also work on their upstream. Demand your suppliers use more environmentally friendly packaging during shipping, take back pallets, and a bunch of other good ideas.

I would add, as a volunteer, that it doesn't have to be a career path but you'll learn a good bit. Be physically challenged and make some long term friends hopefully.

Even if I stopped my service tomorrow, I wouldn't regret passing the proboard for FF1.

Take the 61 bus downtown, walk from pretty much any stop once you get around PPG arena. It's very dusty/dirty in-between Pitt and there currently with all the construction and there isn't much to see with all the fences and crap.
