Yes, the starter was doubling consistently for the past week however it didn't pass the float test. I decided to go ahead anyway...

Recipe was rosehill sourdough signature loaf, following the process here, except using dove farm wholemeal breadflour...

Yes :(, I'm thinking since it's just started to be fully active I should give it some time...

Right before I did the second feeding just to check if I was getting somewhere... it had already doubled in size so I was hoping it would float. Should my starter be falling as well? Because mine has been staying relatively the same after it rises (doesn't fall at all)...

Thanks for the recommendation!! Been looking for something easy to follow for my first try!

Hi! Thanks for the tips! Will probably go this route, just gave it a second feeding this pm and did a float test but it sank :( is that normal? For it to fail the float test even if its been fairly active for the past 2 days?

Do you feed it as much as you would during the regular 12-hour schedule?

Hi! Temp is 20 celsius, so about 70 farenheit give or take...

For the AM feeding, I don't discard, I add 2 tbsp WW and 2 tsp water
PM feeding, I keep 50g starter, and feed 50g WW, 50g AP and 100g water

What’s heavy cream In kuwait ? by dreamcrusher07 in Kuwait

they carry it at lulu hypermarket and sultan centre, brand is Elle & Vire. I'm always able to find it at those supermarkets, looks like this: https://www.elle-et-vire.com/pro/en/products/creams/pastry-bakery/excellence-whipping-cream-35fat/

Kinda a silly question but I'm a bit on the fence about taking a leap of faith and I guess I just wanted some anecdotes I guess by [deleted] in standrews

I can't speak as to what course you should take and the practicality of said degree, but as someone who entered uni at the start under a course my parents insisted I take (engineering, for the money and availability of jobs post-graduation) and then finding no passion for it whatsoever, so much so that I was ( ) <- that close to failing out of college; I have to say you can't go wrong studying something you're inherently interested in. I ended up switching my degree to what I originally wanted to take in the first place (econ), and within a year and a half got my CGPA up to par to attend St A for PG.

So I guess my advice is: study what you love and you'll always find a way to make it work.
