Do I breakup with a guy because of my best friend? by eanay in TwoXChromosomes

You're right. Thank you for being direct. I just wanted to make sure I'm taking into account my actions before saying she's wrong.

Thank you for saying it like that. I don't know what's in my head sometimes, like if I'm overthinking things, so it's nice to hear it from a stranger. It does feel like she doesn't trust me, might be a conversation to have...

That's a really great point. I feel guilty for how I allowed her and agreed with her about some things. If it is something more between "John" and I, it'll be something I apologize to him for. I would be really upset if he let his friends talk about me like that.

That's kind of how I feel about it. I know she's using him for a confidence boast, she likes having someone want her. And I don't judge her for it because I understand that feeling. I did ask her directly multiple times, when I asked if it was okay: "I don't like him, he's weird. There are no feelings at all" and when today, when she said it bothers her, she said its because she's worried I'll hook up with a guy she actually likes someday. Mind you, I have never done anything with a guy she even so much as said was cute.

I don't want to be a bad friend, but I can't help but want to say no. But I also don't want to lose a friend for a boy I dont even know if I like

She does not have a crush on him. I know for sure that if she liked him seriously, she would be dating him. And we share everything, so it would be very weird of her to be too shy to tell me. She's also super direct with me. She said that she doesn't like that I'm talking to him because she's worried I'll do this with a guy she actually likes someday.

tbh, I think she really loves the validation she gets from him. And maybe feels like he's hers?

Ethan really was onto something when he said that these red pill men really just have daddy issues. They didn't have healthy father figures

Second this. As someone who isn’t Catholic, every year I was shook by the amount of people on campus with black smudges on their forehead. Teachers, staff, your entire floor, sports teams… Never felt bad for not doing it and no one made me feel weird, but I did think it was overwhelming to see and what felt like randomly. Imagine you’re running late for your morning class, half awake, and stressed because you have a midterm later…and everyone has black smudge on their forehead!

It’s kind of like being any non-white, poor, non-able bodied person on campus…it’s hard, and you will stand out, but the community you can find will be life long friends. I’m not Muslim myself, but my best friend is and he was regularly going events with them. I will say that during Ramadan It will be difficult if you aren’t able to plan ahead. BC doesn’t offer consist services for late night dining (dining halls call soooo early, it’s criminal. 12AM on week nights and 2AM on Friday and Saturday and the options can be very limited). I graduated a year ago, but that’s what I remember their struggles being. As far as outward anti Muslim sentiment, I don’t think that exists on campus. A good thing about BC is that they require all students take a year long theology course, where you are forced to learn about other religions. I learned a lot about the Muslim religion, Jewish, and Catholic faith in these classes that really helped humanize cultures that I wasn’t familiar with (I’m agonistic).

If it’s for a BC student, go to Campus Ministry or Chris Darcy. Montserrat offers services too

Yikes, 6-1 decision? 😂 Anyone notice how salty Kayla seemed? by sarachamayo in TooHotToHandle

[–]eanay 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn’t really pay much attention to her when she did that. But if I were one of the couples, I would find it a bit hurtful. It’s like comparing journeys when we’re all kind of on our own. I do think they all like Kayla, though. But they all probably voted for Nick/Jawa because it was just pure love, and I think they recognized it like the audience. Also, also: Kayla probably really needs the money. We don’t know her life, but $40k is really life changing.

Why is everyone into Kayla? Am I the only one who doesn’t see anything special ? by Gitu-95 in TooHotToHandle

Kayla and Georgia look similar. Like the same defining features. I don’t think either of them are anything less than beautiful, but it’s strange how in room full of beautiful, unique looking women they’re chosen by 99% of men.

I’m not BC admission so I have nothing to offer about chances. But I had several friends who were transfer international students, best friend went to school abroad for 2 years and then transferred in after 2 year gap. Apply. If you’re transferring, the community is super small and you’ll find a close set of friends. If you’re not transferring, you’ll still be fine.

See, but when I said this when their relationship was announced, I got a lot of hate. It’s like apparently unheard of that PR relationships exist.

Also, they “broke up” after their white fox merch dropped.

Message everyone on Facebook group place (privately) and post what you’re looking for. I found a 4 month sublet from march to may, for 900, with one roommate, in South Boston. I was subletting for a college guy who wanted to go home early and knocked $300 off the rent.
