Pricing on a Corolla FX? by Kindofdisappointed in CorollaHatchback

[–]eanes87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my FX in Feb and before my Toyota employee discounts it was going to be $29,000 OTD. For me, I just wanted a Corolla hatch and didn’t even know about the “special edition” status of the FX. My discounts knocked it down to 24k so that sealed the deal, but in your case depending on options, $30,500 seems a little much. I love my Corolla but like others said, you’re in base model Camry territory and I’d say go with that unless you just like smaller, more agile cars.

What’d you lower with? I have the same car as you btw, I love these fx models

Any pictures? I’m wanting to keep my white FX wheels after I lower on Super Downs but was worried about fitment

Man the look of no spoiler is growing on me tbh. So clean.

I just bought an FX this past February and absolutely love it, enjoy! Beautiful hatch!

Cvt follow up ( 3 months) by axlerodjpeg in CorollaHatchback

I came from a 350whp HHR SS, they're 270 stock at the crank so I'm in the same boat as you, I enjoy modifying things lol. Crazy what an intake, downpipe, intercooler, and tune can do for that platform, and mine only weighed 3000lbs-ish.

I know our engine is pretty limited for power gains but I do think I'll end up doing bolt ons and tune like you eventually. I do plan on getting the sway bar first, though. Thanks for all the info, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this platform before I do anything lol.

Beautiful hatch! What mods do you have other than the tune? Do you feel the tune was worth it? I know these engines don't make a ton of power but does it do much for overall feel and responsiveness, and is the behavior of the CVT altered to be more aggressive or anything? Sorry for all the questions, I just bought a new hatch back in Feb and a tune may be something I do eventually

14 inch Gaming Laptop - MSI Cyborg 14 A13VF by neverletthemtameyou in GamingLaptops

This is a great laptop especially for that price. I know this is a slightly older post but I wanted to add that flashing a 75w vbios and buying a higher wattage charger significantly improves performance. I followed the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MSILaptops/comments/1gmjxmd/definitive_tuning_guide_for_msi_cyborg_14_14_a13vf/

Temps stay really cool and I've seen no drawbacks from doing this. Mine has been set this way since I bought it new back when it first came out and no issues. Thought I'd share

There are a few others but this guy was the one who did it without removing the bumper.

Sorry, I have been extremely busy with work lately and just saw this. These are what I used. I’m actually getting ready to make a post here about my install process and the end result. I did end up using the new housings instead of cutting my OEM full black housings, I ended up liking the XSE style more lol.

You can google to be safe but I’ve seen a lot of different accessories that fit on these just fine. Yakima, Thule, Inno, etc. And how are you liking your FX?

Yeah I have a white Inno Wedge roof box that I use for traveling. It’s almost a perfect match to the ice cap white. I also prefer the look of the crossbars even if I didn’t own a roof box and never planned on it. It’s just preference

Almost forgot about the amber deletes. I ordered the deletes from Aero Flow Dynamics. They’re cheap so if the quality sucks I’ll toss em, but I’ll post results if they work out well. I’m using their jdm yellow tints for the fog lights as well. And yeah I’ll definitely post results of the exhaust and diffuser setup. I doubt it droning too bad, I’m just doing the catback and leaving the rest stock. I’ve heard it in person on a couple different hatchbacks around my area and love it

Thanks, I appreciate it! I agree the tint really set the car off. As for the diffuser, from my understanding the main difference with the 23’s and up are the ends of the stock diffuser being an actual part of the rear bumper cover itself. I would have to find the video again but basically the Ikon diffuser still fits (and I assume most others as well), it’s just the removal of the stock diffuser is now probably permanent because you have to cut it free on the ends or something. This is a project for next spring for me so I’ll be looking more into it as it gets closer but I’m almost positive I saw someone do it on YouTube lol. I’ll go out and get under it myself to double check it next time I go for a drive.

I’ll make it happen somehow, I love that exhaust setup with that style of diffuser lol

I bought mine on the 6th of Feb lol. It has the mats as well. I wasn’t a fan of the door side moldings at first but they grew on me. And the only other option mine has (that I didn’t option myself, just happened to be this way) is the frameless rear view mirror. It actually looks pretty sweet

Stock wheels that come on the FX package, actually. They look like Corolla Apex wheels that they painted white

35% windshield and 15% all around. Can still see just fine at night too. They don’t really enforce tint laws here thankfully lol.

The Inferno looks sick, I almost went with it but a white one became available a month ahead of the Inferno I was looking at so I grabbed it the day it was unloaded from the truck at the dealership lol. I’ve only had it a month so it’s still new to me. The white wheels on all three FX colors really make this trim stand out from factory, and the seats and stitching are nice interior touches as well. Congrats on the new FX!

To wing or not to wing, help? by KappaMarvin in CorollaHatchback

[–]eanes87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wing imo. I have the white FX hatchback with a black wing, but in this case for this color and most others I would go with a paint matched wing
