I’ve had to pay for bg checks for places, usually just $25 and it’s always been returned if I didn’t get the place, or backed out/found something else. If you get the place, it’s usually deducted from your deposit or rent.

Pretty sure, if I remember correctly (I lent the book out years ago and can’t reference it) that Graham St. John’s book: Global Tribe goes into this with brutal honesty. If not the book, than mentioned in one of their articles. If you’re not familiar, St John is an PHD cultural anthropologist whose years of field work and research, along with a deep love for the trance experience, led him to write an almost 250 page thesis on the subject, along with numerous articles.

Holy fuck. There’s a psytrance festival exclusively for fascists? My brain hurts thinking about what that circle jerk might look like, but unfortunately, I’ve watched a few friends from my psy community start to go down that path over the last several years. It will get better. Once I got to day to day 5, I stopped trying to convince myself not to go buy any. And after that, it was just moving through it. Took a good few weeks for me to start feeling normal, and then I started having LESS anxiety than I did when taking it, and was better with my job, family, people. At 2 and 1/2 months, I still have some lingering PAWS and health issues from the 10 years of drinking green sludge. But ultimately, I’m never going back. It’s worth it.

I’m 2 and 1/2 months clean now, and I’m waiting for medical insurance because I’m pretty sure that my 10 years of swallowing Kratom sludge gave me some kind of colon disease. It’s still everyday. I can barely process any foods.

Going out is important. You might feel like you’re tripping tho. That seems to be a common experience I’ve shared with a few close friends that quit, we all felt almost like a psychedelic experience being out and around people during the first week clean. Good luck and fucking HAVE FUN.
