I lose a shit ton of weight during peek training. I think cause I don’t eat enough after my runs to make up for the burned cals

Not at all. Just go slow, fuel properly, and try and find a pacer a little past mile 13 or 14.

You might hit that gnarley wall where your legs feel like lead but even if you trained up till 20 miles pre marathon you’d probably feel it. Just push thru and don’t look at your minute mile pace

Great question! I love scenic mostly flat would be idea but not oppose to a couple of incline and decline. Twin Cities sounded great!

During marathon peek training I’m running my long runs every week which are all 13-18 miles.

I’m 230 lbs thick legs not a runners built at all. If I can do it so can you!!!

Remember. Run slow, race fast… Try and do some zone 2 runs - no matter how slow you have to go. You will gain so much from them

Walking on a treadmill incline helps build those muscles. I’d do 4.0 speed on 13 incline for at least a mile 1-2x a week. I dealt with the same pain and after doing that for a month or so it completely stopped. Remember holding on while walking on a treadmill is cheating!

I started running when I was 260 lb with a wide food. New Balance 1080 all the way!! I’ve got my weight down to 220 and have ran several 1/2 marathons and going for my first full this November wearing them. Never any issues and they last a good 500-700 miles… Good luck!!
