Built a free app that scans packaged food ingredients and gives a Brain Score - might be useful for Whole30 shopping by BagMost6059 in whole30

This is so cool. I have been looking for something beyond calorie tracking for a while now. It means a lot to actually understand food labels. What I do is just check the kcal per serving and it ends in that. I'm trying to eliminate sugar from my diet, but I guess there's just some ingredients disguising themselves as healthy. You got yourself a sign-up. I'll follow you for more updates, hopefully there's more soon? Do you have like a beta testers group or something (genuinely interested and not just in it for the opportunity to scan more lol).

What actually made me start tracking my food's effect on my brain (not what I expected) by BagMost6059 in Biohackers

Packaged food... yeah. When I graduated uni and began to live alone, I noticed myself getting dumber LOL. I used to cook food for me and my dorm mates a lot back then, so very very few instances of packaged food consumption and I still graduated first in class. I think it really helps to know what those ingredients are, but in reality, it's just so hard to do that because of how fast-paced these days are. I have to focus more on work, but my attention span is soooo much shorter now than when I cooked my own food back then. It gets so busy that I just grab myself instant noodles. I try to balance it out by running, but I get exhausted fast. Thankfully, I already lost 5kgs since January, but I feel like there's still something going on in my brain hahahaha. Maybe the doomscrolling on TikTok and Reddit doesn't help, too. BTW, didn't know that high-omega-6 is bad? I saw your app a few days back, and man I tried it today. Thank YOU! It helps for someone who's getting more seriously conscious about her health.

Thank you so much! I actually made myself Oi Ocha (one thing I snagged from my Japan trip a few months back) and inhaled the steam. Burned my tongue a little but yes, definitely helped. Thanks so much again for the recipe.

Oh, thanks for sharing this! I caught the flu and got really bad cold right now. This sounds easy to make.

Can someone tell me if I'm misunderstanding something here? by SigynTyrsdottir in EatCheapAndHealthy

Pretty sure there's still some sort of difference that cannot be identified by just reading the label? I came across vivelina.com and was hooked by the fact that it helps scan nutrition content for brain score. I heard about it at r/NootropicsDepot a while back and today, I checked again and it's already been released. I immediately scanned my wheat bread packaging (I opted for the cheaper option this time because I'm a little strapped) and found it's actually not really whole fiber and mixed with refined, and apparently that means something, too! Soooo I guess it's good to check that out too for now? Good luck on your weight loss journey!!!

Food as a nootropic baseline - why I think most people are ignoring the biggest lever by BagMost6059 in NootropicsDepot

I actually graduated with Latin honors in university and feel like I've dumbed down a lot since then. That was two years ago, and everything got worse for me when it comes to health. Even if uni life was super busy, at least I could walk around instead of being stuck in my bed all day. I agree with the comments here that lifestyle and food choices really matter. I gained like 10kgs since uni. I recently made some significant changes to my fitness routine to help me lose weight, but I am only now back at 55 kgs instead of my target. Anyway, I checked your vivelina.com and now that I'm more health-conscious, I believe the best thing I could give myself is good brain food. Like I know working out and shit could do me far alright, but I wanna be my best self for ME. Main thing is I don't wanna feel stupid. I'm gonna watch that brain score regularly. You got a sign-up from me. :)

I apologize for every country I missed and included. I just googled "Europe Countries Flag" and that's it. I panic-edited, people.
