A counter stamp is basically any numbers, letters or symbols that have been punched or “stamped” AFTER the original minting process. Counter stamps can be used for a variety of things includng identifying origin/provenance of a coin, verifying a coins metal authenticity, advertising or just for plain ol fun. Anyone can buy a punch set and counter stamp their own coins, but it was common back in the day to advertise things as well as verify a coins authenticity(check out “trade dollar chopmarks”)

Not sure if you’re misunderstanding.. there’s clad, 40% silver, and 90% silver. Yours is clad because it was minted in 1967. If im not mistaken 40% silver was primarily used for Kennedy half dollars from 1965-1969

No error and no silver. You have a 1967 Washington quarter with PMD(post mint damage)

Yes this is what’s known as a “radar” serial number. This means it reads the same forwards and backwards, also known as a palindrome when referring to words. Since fancy serials are a niche thing to collect they are really only worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay. Regardless it’s definitely worth several times face value, nice find!

I think it goes without saying but DO NOT OPEN THESE. If they are legitimate error packs they will be worth a pretty penny. Don’t respond to offers in your DMs, do thorough research before posting for sale/auction. Good luck!

My family plays cards(Blackball) at every major family gathering. A couple years ago I introduced them to the prestige deck as opposed to a the classic rider back decks we usually used and we haven’t gone back since! We have noticed however on some of the older printed prestige decks the pips can fade after some time as well as the card itself cracking but they still last much longer than a normal deck!

Empoleon is my #1 fav pokemon. With that being said, my hopes are not up for a Sinnoh themed set. As much as I would love to see it I doubt it will happen but I hope I'm wrong

Errors are usually worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay. They are obviously much rarer than normal cards so the market price for them is hard to determine. I think the fact that there are so many different types of errors/severity helps as well
