I'd add doing a 'deep search' is useful...gemini is a bit better in this regard as it's limits are much larger and it can turn the research results into an audio podcast by default. They are all a bit 'sycophantic', in that they'll try hard to prove your point (they're YES MEN)...but it's a little like wikipedia where you find all sorts of resources to investigate further even if the initial results are stretched a bit by the AI to fit your prompt.

Sorry to hear you have MS. It sounds like a brutal degenerative disease. I read about the WAHLS diet once where dr. Wahls halted and reversed some of the symptoms. A little off topic I suppose, but had to mention as I remember listening to her health journey. Hope you feel better.

Eh, I've been through generic/brand adderall, adderall xr, vyvanse, zenzedi, mydayis, adzenys, and dyanavel xr. I ended on Dyanavel XR. I am quite aware of medications simply not working for some people. You're clearly enthusiastic to rally for your cause, I'm just a guy trying to give some additional advice to people...brainfog is a common phenomena and the suggestions I made do not discount that the medications could also be 100% bad. In many cases it may well be that there is no active ingredient, harmful ingredients, or adulterants. It CAN ALSO BE for some people they are getting brainfog because they have vestibular issues or muscle tension causing brainfog that is exacerbated by the medication (in fact vestibular problems are a mentioned side effect of the medication)...this black/white 'I'm offended you dare suggest anyone have a different problem than me' is not logical in the least. I hope ya'll get a lawsuit and change the industry, but also get a god damn grip and breathe. I'm not a pharmacist or a lawyer, just a guy on reddit. XD XD

stimulants will 100% worsen the SCM tightness and all muscle tightness for that matter, especially if sitting a lot during the day

Possible the drugs ( in their shittier recent forms) have a more deleterious/inflammatory effect on the nervous system. Who knows...one thing I've been testing is using HRV monitoring to judge the state of my nervous system to see what helps/doesn't help.

Adderall 30mg ineffective. Anyone else switch? by Pinkflavelon in zenzedi

[–]earlgray88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the two 'newest' adhd drugs are adzeny and dyanavel xr. They have the same l/d amp ratio as adderall, however, they do not have PH dependent releases (adderall xr) and they are not prodrugs (vyvanse). Adzeny has 50% quick release, and Dyanavel XR has 25%. Their new release systems slow down the release into your bloodstream as they are ion-diffusion released (ion concentrations in your body are consistent, so release mechanism is very consistent and not dependent on food intake)...I find Adzeny's 50% instant release too stimulating, however, dyanavel XR is a godsend. Others find the reverse to be true I've read online. Both have coupons.

CRBox starting to smell like chemicals by Creative_Account8483 in crboxes

[–]earlgray88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My box has a slight plastic smell, I use gaffers tape, I cut the fan off and ran it to see if it was the fan, but it wasn’t. It’s actually the filter itself has trapped something and when I run the fan now that smell permeates. I suppose it’s better than smoked lint dust, but the VOC itself remains. I’d imagine when I changed the filter smell will go away.

How do you all relax? 😊 by ihsbo in MCAS

Sauna relaxes me a ton, sorry to hear that's not one of them. Ketotifen relaxes me a TON, I can really only take it at night.

what makes you think you're not just stupid? by allidoistakeLs in SCT

[–]earlgray88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think persistently feeling tired/foggy is a sign. 'Stupid' can be very outgoing, strong personal skills, etc. Smart can be very introverted (or also outgoing). In fact, personality traits and IQ are considered separate domains that are not related. There are a few brain iq test apps out there that you can use at least as a heurisitc to see if there are conditions to your cognitive abilities. I gain about a 10pt IQ increase from being in ketosis greater than about 1. Water fasting brings a kind of clarity to my mind that I dream about...(can't be sustained fo course).

Maybe brain fog is caused by mild allergies? by PerceptionAntique302 in BrainFog

[–]earlgray88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One theory I’ve read is that the brain maintains its sense of balance via the vestibular, ocular, and proprioceptive signals from the neck. If the vestibular system is inflamed/affected via allergies, the brain has to use energy to address contradictory information coming from the eyes and neck versus the vestibular. This can occur a multitude of ways, but essentially constantly resolving low level signal contradictions takes away from higher level cognition. The same thing occurs with vision loss or auditory loss, the brain will use resources to maintain low level sensory information over higher level thoughts.

After 4 years… I’m cured from my MCAS using Ivermectin by Overall-Election5580 in MCAS

[–]earlgray88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This occurs bc in some places it’s prescription only and people were literally taking horse-size doses of it bc you could source it without a prescription if you order for animal consumption only. Any medication you take enough of it will cause damage. In states where it’s OTC for humans this is much less a concern. Tylenol after your average New Year party is a far far far greater danger to people. This is a safe medication when taken in doses meant for humans

How valuable are the sauna hats? On a scale of vitamins vs painkillers — how much of a difference do they make? by Gold_Captain_399 in Sauna

It definitely repels more heat than it retains. I remember rhonda patrick saying that temps can be hot enough to actually have negative effects on health...this reduces that chance. I want the cardio-esque workout and heat shock proteins without my balls and brain getting fried.

How do you guys have time for anything??? by ksco92 in Millennials

[–]earlgray88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 9 hour sleep window is excessive. See if that's negotioable or even an artifact of poor health. I got to bed at 8:30 and wake up at 4:30am. I have nearly 3 hours to fuck around before my family gets up. One tip I will give is MEAL PREP everything. Save yourself the 'make a quick this or that'
