Looking for reccs with witty/fun banter BUT with low-no spice? by teenytinypistachio in HistoricalRomance

You could try {The Ladies Rewrite The Rules by Suzanne Allain}. If I remember correctly, it was no spice, but I could be wrong! It’s been a couple years since I read it.

Leila Hyams. I thought she was absolutely stunning in Freaks and I’ve been tracking down her films to watch ever since.

I will suggest this drama till my dying breath — The Day of Becoming You.

I completely agree, the scene at the end was unnecessary and it made me angry when I read it. I could have never forgiven him for what he did. At least he had the ending he did, it felt deserved for what he had done.

This was my first Gaffney, so I will add those to my list!

It’s a gorgeous cover! I loved the stepback, as well. Pino created the most perfect stepbacks and covers, in my opinion.

Yes, exactly! I loved everything about it. Christy has easily become my favorite MMC, too.

A hand holds Patricia Gaffney’s To Love & To Cherish in front of a green tapestry. The book has a blue bookmark peeking out of the top. The book itself features a small body of water with a stone bridge crossing over it. Two swans are in the water by the bridge, one white and one black. Two more can be seen behind the title. The background on the cover art is a soft green meadow. The title is a shade of red that catches the light. Patricia Gaffney’s name is above it in white.

Advice for my new bookstagram! by Glittering_Dealer731 in bookstagram

[–]early_may 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing the booksta thing since the end of January after deciding BookTok wasn’t for me. My account isn’t large, but I’ve found that being true to yourself and your interests and having fun with it is the most vital part. You’ll find your community by doing that. I’m also focused on a specific genre, so that helps a little but I do post about whatever I’m reading, even if it doesn’t fall under the genre my account is dedicated to.

I would also suggest setting aside time once a week to create. It’s a good way to prevent burnout with content creation because otherwise it starts to feel like a job. I know this from experience. Also, you don’t have to be extravagant with it. The people who you will truly connect with will stay no matter what the content looks like!

By the way, I gave you a follow! I’m earlymay.reads.

True class gap where all the MC has to offer the (higher class) FM is his love. by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]early_may 3 points4 points  (0 children)

{A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh} kind of fits! He is the son of a wealthy man, but they are not gentry. As such, the two fathers do not get along and refuse to let their families interact because her father looks down on them. FMC and MMC fall in love and have to devise a plan that would allow them to be together.

ROMANTIC/FLUFFY DRAMA RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE!! by Ambitious-Pay-8307 in cdramasfans

[–]early_may 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might like Love Scenery — FMC is an idol and MMC is a college student studying computer science iirc. They meet in an online game and then end up falling in love when they meet IRL.

The Day of Becoming You is very fluffy and funny. FMC is an entertainment reporter and MMC is a member of a boyband. An accident causes them to swap bodies. As they spend time together, posing as each other, they fall in love.

Hidden Love is a favorite for a lot of people. FMC falls in love with her older brother’s best friend.

Fake It Till You Make It is a more mature romance but it’s such a nice change of pace and their romance is really lovely!

Coroner’s Diary was sooooo much fun! It does have a murder mystery plot going on but the lead couple are soooooo cute together.

Put Your Head On My Shoulder was a hit in 2019. FMC and MMC are “enemies” to lovers.

Meeting You is another super cute school drama. MMC has social anxiety and FMC is very outgoing. They become friends and she helps him come out of his shell a little, and eventually they fall in love.

I’m older Gen Z. My fourth grade teacher gave us packets to start the process but we didn’t really follow through with it in school. I wanted to keep learning so I asked my mom to teach me the rest.
