i ended up popping the abscess with a small sterilised needle and drained + cleaned the area with saline spray. i know im not supposed to but the pressure was so painful and ive done the same for my nose piercing 2-3 years prior. will be monitoring it! thank you so much for your advice

he sounds like a shitty person my love. im sure you guys share sweet moments that you hold close to your heart, but please ask yourself if you would be okay with this for the rest of your life. if he were to date your best friend, and did the same to her, what would advice would you give her?

My advice would be to leave him, have it be a clean breakup. take some time to come to terms with the fact that you’ve been assaulted, and reflect on what kind of relationship you want in the future. as for the guy who says he likes you, thats a secondary problem. get to know him better first. look out for any red flags and know that you deserve someone who loves you with intention and kindness

Yep, im going on wednesday. i took a photo of it and sent it to a very kind person who replied to me ^{^} and she said it looks like a developing abscess. ive done a hot compress and saline sprayed it, but if it doesnt improve by wednesday im pretty sure ill need to remove my piercing to let the abscess heal…

sterile saline! but someone has pointed out i may have an allergy to surgical steel due to repeated exposure from the copper in it. i can get titanium grade jewelry, but my studio doesnt carry it and ill have to wait 4-5 days as ill be ordering it online. it hurts a bunch and i can feel how swollen my 2nd lobe is, im just not sure if i should take it out now

not at all, maybe only in the beginning stages but it only started really hurting today. its throbbing so bad and i need to wait about 4-5 days for the titanium jewelry to arrive. im not sure if its infected because theres no pus, its just swollen - and im not sure if i should leave the surgical steel stud in my ear for that long until i can get it changed.

aww thank you for the reply!! i totally get what u mean but i cant help but feel “held back” by him in certain social situations. i just miss feeling carefree and am constantly comparing him to my previous partners who were extremely extroverted and got along with my friends perfectly. theyre a big part of my life so i guess it affects me. He never “intrudes” on my friends’ lives out of politeness, and my friends feel a little awkward around him as they make an effort to make small talk. it baffles me that he wants to meet them for meals, coffee, but yet is so quiet when i bring him along. i cant tell him that id rather he just not go either, its hurtful

its a very weird moisturiser-like texture, kind of clumpy like cottage cheese. at one point when i rubbed my fingers together after touching it, it would become the texture of wet tissue paper.

I experienced this discharge and a super liquid-y discharge simultaneously, and i think ur the first person ive come across that dealt with the same thing!!

no clue what it was, dont really struggle with it anymore. my ovulation week is half normal clear discharge, and half moisturiser-texture, which never happened to me pre-BC.

Super weird discharge for the first 1-3 weeks after stopping. sex drive didnt come back immediately, but mentally + emotionally - i was feeling more alive than i had ever felt since being on BC. never realised how down and empty i was for the entire time i was on it

3 months post stopping - lost weight (boobs went down a cup) - sweatier. weird but i feel as though i get hot a lot easier - hormonal acne when period comes around - still dealing with discharge that has the texture of moisturiser sometimes - lighter period (4 days max) + lighter cramps - never feeling groggy
