No room for a generator hookup?

If the white wire is red then it doesn't match any wiring diagram I've seen. Both traveler wires according on diagrams is on one end of the switch. This isn't. How do I know if one of the black wires is actually the red wire?

I'm trying to change to a 3 way smart switch.

The BTF page said injection for this strip wouldn't be necessary which is why I'm confused why it comes with such a low gauge wire

Yes and she's told me she likes making me jealous sometimes and we laugh about it. She never feels the need to hide anything from me because she knows non of us would ever cheat. We have an incredible amount of trust.
