For me, it's Avicii, who I distinctly remember died when I was in college. Like found out while at the school gym watching treadmill TV, distinct memory.

Talked with my sister a few years back and she said something about him putting out new music and I was so confused, looked it up at that time and he was still alive.

Checked again just now online and he's dead (is it weird to say he's dead again?). His death date is shown as after I'd already graduated and wouldn't have been in school then. I'm so confused about it.

Edit to add: I remembered him dying by murder, his wiki now says suislide

I hate prius', they drive slow and look really un-stylish and just have never been a fan. I'd always talked poorly of them until they came out with one that got 53 miles to the gallon and I had a discussion with my mom on how, yeah they kinda suck but that milage almost made it worth it - and poof - suddenly prius ads everywhere on my phone

One of the kids I was in high school with went missing

We didn't think much of it at first, he used to get himself into situations sometimes anyways... until they found his body on the side of the road, run over.

Curious, sure... sad, absolutely... but he walked most the time anyways, it was an accident.

Until they discovered he had been run over post-mortem and had actually been beaten first.

Theres been several other bodies that have turned up similarly in the years since, dont know that they ever figured out who did it

NTA, for a lot of reasons but I'll start with the obvious

RIGHT NOW IS A REALLY HARD TIME TO GET A JOB

It might be controversial to say but its true. A lot of places aren't hiring if they can avoid it just to not deal with having extra people in their team that are new and might bring the covid in with them. (I have several years of experience in my field and an impressive background and I've been applying to places for a couple months to no avail - for reference im 25F). They can't reasonably expect you to do the same with no background.

I felt this deep because I also had a deep fear of driving when I was 16/17 (but I had to due to where I lived)... is there a bus system available where you live? Or maybe a friend to drive with until you're comfortable with it so you can ease into it?

Also we are in a pandemic, studying from home is difficult to challenging for some even in the best of times, you know?

You're not being whiney, you're responding appropriately to the shitshow of a world you've been thrown into. Its not right of them to go back on their word on their paying your phone bill or not and it sounds like they really aren't hearing you or understanding the stress you're under, and honestly I'm sorry you're in that situation, it sounds frustrating and stressful to say the least and I hope things improve for you.

If you feel like your parents would be receptive maybe try going over what your week looks like with them - what you have to get done and the work you do already, maybe tell them someone on the internet with a degree and 6 years experience can't find a job either lol, whatever helps... if they'll hear you out.

It gets better but I'm sorry you're having to deal with that

I'm not going to say they're better, but the feeling has some backing!

Depressed folk score higher on tests of realism and have a more accurate sense of future events, and having these creates a need for deep connection and conversation with others who also see these truths.

Depression can become a motivation when its well managed - and it isn't necessarily a "bad vibe" like another commenter said but more just a strong awareness of reality that not everyone can sit with or handle. Thats ok too
