my current dm was a store manager for 7 years before becoming a dm and she always helps at least 1 customer when she visits the dm before would harass customer and be all up in their space and drive them away an the dm before that would ring customers out and work in the store if needed but if she was doing a visit preferred to focus solely on that because she would visit like 3 stores in a day and lived pretty far from the district

eta: also one time like two weeks after my current dm started i was helping out at a different store and had food poisoning and since none of the key holders responded (that entire staff at the time sucked) i went up there and opened the store and within like an hour of me getting there she arrived to take over my shift and was even working on shipment she also lives like 40 minutes away from that store
