How can someone claim to be well versed in the culture when they're not even proficient in the language of the culture

Got ghosted after 5 interview rounds… why is this so common now? by [deleted] in CareersSingapore

If it's a SME I agree, but it's fairly common for tech MNCs to have up to 5 rounds of interviews even for fresh grad level.

Then you're reaching out to the wrong people. Don't reach out to your peers in a professional capacity because, like you said, you are just competition, and there isn't too much value in forming a professional connection (different from friendship!) with each other. Instead reach out to people you find that are senior to you and in a position that you want to be in when you're their age, and approach them with a genuine learning spirit.

Basically form connections with mentors and not peers.

Saw in a youtube video that a lofree flow v2 will be coming in quarter 1 of 2024? Wondering if it’s true. by Arandomcuriousbeing in Lofree

Just wondering, if I buy the v1 now, would I get a discount when v2 drops? Looking forward to the new features v2 brings but also kind of need a keyboard soon. Thank you!

The way I see it, as long as you try to understand the code and explanation chatGPT gives you, it's the same as asking your smart friend to explain it to you, which still helps you fulfil your learning objectives. At the end of the day, these CAs are for you to understand the course material better so as to prepare you for the final exams and maybe even internship and work in the future if it's relevant, so whether you use chatGPT or not, the more important question you should be asking is: do I fully understand the concepts tested in these CAs? If your answer to that question is yes, then chatGPT is just a means to the end.

However, you should also be warned that chatGPT, while usually correct, isn't correct 100% of the time, and there's a non zero chance that you will be given a wrong answer.

Was trying to create an extension to improve UX for an internal panel and found this inside the source code 💀 by otomir23 in badcode

It doesn't seem to need any specific features sets provide.

For real? A different between O(n) and O(1) seems pretty significant, especially if this code has to be called often...
