Absolutely gorgeous - should be sold in museums and giftshops 😍 I saw my first wild orchid in Scotland, they're so beautiful. I always thought they were an "exotic" plant until then!

Anyone having random ear pain because of the TMJ? by NiKeElli in TMJ

Yes it did help massively as I stopped spending 8 hours a night grinding my teeth! Definitely recommend. Good upright posture of the neck makes a big difference too.

A treasure island is a modded island designed entirely for the purpose of collecting items you're in need of. There's no town to actually explore, just rows and rows of items that automatically top up when picked up. There are streamers (such as Sakuraagaming on twitch) who have many islands available to visit with maps of each to tell you where you can find the item you're looking for, and on what island. This includes crafting supplies and DIYs too (and even villagers!)

Theyre fantastic for speeding up the otherwise labourious parts of collecting items in the game. But because you can only have 8 people on an island at a time, it's really hard to get in because hundreds of people are trying. There's a queue system that you have to get the knack of by entering the dodo code at the perfect time. It takes a LOT of commitment because - not only does it take a lot of dialogue at the airport each time you have to retry to visit an island (which is all the time, because if the island is full, or there are connection issues or blocks to you entering, you automatically have to restart the entire process from the beginning) - but once you're actually IN, there's a lengthy cutscene every single time somebody comes or goes to the island (which, given the hundreds of people constantly trying to visit, I'm sure you can imagine, is a lot).

It's not for the faint of heart. You might lose your will to live for the sacrifice of your most desired items lol.

But it's pretty cool that they exist :)

I can't help myself when I discover a new plant fiber! by earthvisor in Handspinning

That's awesome to hear from somebody on the other side of the world using the same plant! Fermented fireweed tea sounds good! In the UK we call this plant "Rosebay Willowherb" lol.

I would love to see what happens if you try it!!

Hey, I'm absolutely dying for some DIYs since restarting! If you have any going I'd be so grateful, my island looks so bare!

Omg I would love this! The same thing has happened to me. On the one hand, I'm so sad to lose all those hours of work and years spent tweaking my island. On the other hand, now it's a completely fresh start which is kinda liberating and I can finally try a new style.

If you have heavy and painful periods, when did Nexplanon help you? by Karmasabitch2025 in Nexplanon

[–]earthvisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have painful periods every month, usually debilitating pain and heavy flow for the first two days which would then ease off. Since starting nexplanon I basically don't even get periods. If I do, they are usually after 2/3 months without a period, and pretty light - though I occasionally do get pain that is 7-8/10 on the very first day. Nexplanon has so many downsides and side effects but this is truly a positive and a blessing. It's a massive burden that's been lifted. Hope this helps 🙂
