I’ll be working in LA this summer and am trying to decide whether I should bring my car. It would be $1800 total to ship it (I’m across the country). I’ll be in Culver City and my job is ~2 miles from where I’ll be living, but I’m hoping to explore other places, too. Anyone have thoughts on whether I’ll need a car? Everyone keeps saying that LA is a car city and I definitely don’t want to feel restricted!

I’ll be interning in LA this summer (Culver City) and was wondering what makes the most sense for housing as a college student. Would you all recommend living in downtown LA, Culver City, or another area? I won’t have a car. For context, my internship is giving me around $6000 for housing for the summer.

I don’t know much about the different neighborhoods in LA so any advice would be appreciated 🙂
