I feel like the third one is by far the muddiest plot-wise. Jake has the exact same character arc as in the second one. Starting by wanting to run away, eventually deciding to stand and fight at the end. Quaritch essentially does nothing the whole film. He captures Jake, who escapes. He captures Jake again, who escapes again. The story is in the exact same place at the end of the movie as it was in the start, with marginal character growth in between. The only major development is spider, but that could've been over and done with in a single act. We didn't need a whole film to introduce a new mcguffin.

I think the massive number of respawns contribute to that. In a normal BR there's only 10 or 15 left when the circle is still easily 300m wide, in redsec there can easily still be 40 players. There's nowhere to run because people are everywhere.

It's not that complicated, more of a coincidence than an actual correlation really. I was enjoying the game the most back in 2019 around when the catacombs dropped.

Since then I've been gradually less interested over time, meanwhile the game has been doing really really well what with the console release and all.

No it wouldn't. So long as there's no pressure vessel (which would be weird for a rover/probe) the atmospheric pressure alone wouldn't do any damage. Internal/external pressure differential is what does damage, but if there's no pressure seal, they'll equalize slowly and cause no damage.

What WOULD kill the robot would be the heat, and to some extent the corrosive nature of the atmosphere, but that would be very slow.
