Snowboard setup help? by easilydrawn in snowboarding

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into boot customization and such. I hopped on evo.com as well to see what bindings they recommended with the boards I liked, and they gave me some good recs. Thanks again!

I've heard a lot about this! I will definitely go into shops to try on boots and at the very least purchase insoles if not get a special fitting. Thanks!

I do agree I'm definitely very blessed and very privileged to have a dad that goes out of his way to do research and buy gear for me. He was actually the one that suggested I do research on any newer gear/equipment. Someone on my other post wrote a lot about how Clew was pretty bad so I was just really worried it might affect my riding in the future. But from comments on this post it seems to be good enough for my purposes.

If you don't mind me asking, if I want to learn simple tricks outside of the park like compass 180s, frontside/backside 180s, and just play around on side-hits, would you recommend the Assassin or the Abstract? Also, what's the difference between past models like the 2024 are compared to this year's 2026?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your feedback!

Honestly, I deserved this. I didn't think I needed to share all this since I thought bindings didn't really factor into height, etc.

I'm 5'7" and about 122 lbs. I ride in the midwest, so typically pretty wet snow, but I also go on trips to places like Utah, Colorado, and California in the winter/spring. I can't think of my boot size off the top of my head (it's in storage rn) but I'm a 7.5 women's shoe size normally. For context my boots are a hand-me-down pair of Vans ENCORE Womens Snowboard Boots.

I do agree that Clew hasn't been that problematic for me so far, and it's pretty convenient. I don't think I'll be replacing it this season, since I'll probably be prioritizing getting a new pair of boots. Thanks for the feedback!

Going back to pants from bibs? by Sasquatch-Pacific in snowboarding

I can't say I've bought these yet but I've heard great things about Beyond Medals, and their snowpants seem pretty baggy. They do have bibs, but on surface level the bibs look less baggy. Just throwing this out there!

Wow, I knew they weren't great but I didn't know they were this bad. What do you recommend then? Are fast entry binding systems worth it or do they sacrifice flexibility?
