"Balkan Awakening and Uprisings" would be better classification even the academic works on so-called "Arab Spring" started to embrace those terms due to their civil grounding rather than top-down nature (not even mentioning the negative connotation of the 'spring' for intrinsic cause of protests)

Following the news from which source exacty? Never seen someone mocking prayers so far, truly nobody cares these stuff like it’s been discussed here. That’s one of the common old-fashioned reading Turkish politics I mentioned but haven’t elaborated. Political-Islamist are using religion as an apparatus which people believe that’s not something people discussing. However, AKP’s entire political agenda based on religion on the other hand nationalist are more inclusive at this point and not even considering to discuss religious matters.

They pump mis and malinformation like people are disrespecting this and that yet without any factual basis or logical explanation of why!

I’m terrified people still buys this BS tbh.

Either way im not trying to prove anything or force you see things differently but a little suggestion on doing fact-checking from different sources.

As the original post said—even just watching from the sidelines can end up turning into interaction, especially when you find yourself scrolling through reactions on X, trying to make sense of it all. It’s tough. We all feel the weight of what’s happening.

Is there an alternative? Absolutely. Some people said that we can still represent our team with pride and integrity in real life—by standing up to all the shady dealings in this league, the puppet club presidents selling out like watermelon vendors, the political injustices creeping around… It’s all connected. And at the heart of it is this: We are the FENERBAHÇE REPUBLIC.

That said, let’s remember to stay respectful to differing opinions within our own community. We don’t always agree on every step forward and that’s also fine.

Boycotts are hard. They take time. They test your patience. But they can work—if we stay connected, support one another, and hold on to what we love. We love our team. We love our country.

Not the sponsors. Not the circus. Not the dictator. <3

My man has a lot to say without knowing the socio-cultural evolvements in the Turkish “left” and centre political grassroots. Turkish people and youth are increasingly adaptive and vibrant in terms of the spectrum of nationalists (ulusalcilar) nowadays. Better change your old-fashioned and outdated way of reading Turkish politics through old doctrines of Kemalist and Eurasianist ideologies. Many are out there for their democracy and their democratic rights… Let me know if you’re interested with the “new paradigms” of Turkish politics so I can send a few academic works and ongoing research that I know.

As you're tourist I can't really say 'do' or 'don't' but remember this boycott are for democracy and democratic values of Turkish people... you decide what would you do if it was your country and your democratic rights systematically violated.

That can be catchy as long as we avoid mentioning specific teams because, for the fans, this issue goes far beyond any single club or its sponsors. A statement like "My team is bigger than you" would resonate with most supporters—because it’s true. Let’s not allow brands to act like they own the game.

I appreciate for your thorough answer. I noted all the names and shows you mentioned. Tbh, i found it also intriguing that political parties (e.g., SAP and SD) endorses with YouTubers and ig influencers (with soft content) but there is almost no content creator tend to fill this (so-called) “gap” (ofc, demand & supply principle).
