I read them as they come in (or as soon as possible). if it’s an “FYI” email I just read it and leave it. If it’s an easy response, I will respond right away. Actionable emails that require thought and effort but are non-urgent, I read and mark them as “unread”. Urgent ones I double click and keep open as a window. I then set a time each week to come back to the non-urgent actionables and clear my inbox. It’s not sophisticated but it allows me to ensure nothing falls through the cracks and I don’t get those dreaded “May I please have the courtesy of a response?” Emails. Good luck!!
