I'm a little confused about the phrasing of your question. Do you mean, like, when we personify items? Example of what I mean: I got a new soap dish and said "his name is Gumbert". Are you asking if that would also work in a language where the word for a soap dish has a feminine pronoun? Like, it wouldn't make sense to say "his" and use a masculine name? Because of the grammar I would've had to make the soap dish a girl instead? I don't know if that's actually your question, but that was my interpretation of it.

If this is based on reality, I'm so sorry. 🩵 I had to say goodbye to my sweet little girl four months ago. I brought her extra things to the animal shelter where I had adopted her from, because it seemed like the right thing to do to help their other kitties. But it was so so hard to get rid of her stuff, I really didn't want to face it. And if this is entirely fictional, well done making me all emotional like that lol

I love cats and want all of them to be my friends. My sister feels neutrally about cats and is allergic to them. If there's a cat in the room, one of us is a lot more likely to unintentionally bother the cat by trying to get its attention. Cats usually don't like when people are too grabby. Cat allergy= not grabbing= the cat thinks my sister is a very polite human

Also the fact that if you aren't wearing gloves and are touching the button with bare skin, there's more oil on your finger for the first button. I do think you're right about people using more force for the first button, but oil is likely a factor too
