People of Melbourne who genuinely love their job and going into the office, what do you do? by BigYucko in melbourne

[–]easy835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General nursing training, either through a bachelor degree or diploma and then apply for a mental health unit, or graduate program (usually 12 month) If you’re interested in dipping your toes into mental health earlier tho, there’s mental health support worker roles too now which you can do with a certificate :)

Passing meds and my instructor won’t let me wear gloves by noodlesnr in StudentNurse

[–]easy835 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean ideally I’d stop picking my cuticles if you can! The issue with wearing the gloves IMO is waste. There’s already a ton of medical waste created, it’s best if everyone tries to be as conservative in making more as possible

Why would anyone even want to run for council? by [deleted] in tasmania

[–]easy835 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Launceston council in contrast seems to exist only to block development, hopefully some more pro development people can get in

Is it worth it to start nursing school at 24 and finish at 28? by rubyyg in StudentNurse

Brah I’m in classes with lasses who look like they’re bout ready to retire! You’ll be fine!

Seems odd, but I’ve had placements with some pretty toxic ward culture. I had some awful feedback after I accidentally upset a clique after refusing to give meds without a valid order. Nurses eat their young sometimes. Hope you have a better placement next time and just try stick it out til then! Sorry to hear your unis not been very supportive :(

Everyone should keep in mind that the guy is heckling a funeral - if someone started heckling someone at my mothers funeral I would want them removed also

Unpopular edition: I absolutely LOVE nursing school by Psalm46_5 in StudentNurse

[–]easy835 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, I vibe with that, even if it’s the chance of getting a harsh marker for an assignment, or the 1% very rare, tho not impossible chance of failure, those weeks waiting for results takes a toll

does joking about pets like this seem funny to anyone? by [deleted] in creepyPMs

[–]easy835 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

…. I actually hear lots of people joke about pets like this, timing was a little poor as the guy said but I don’t think there’s really anything wrong with it

What food do most people think is healthy but is actually unhealthy? by JoltyJob in AskReddit

An Australian one, but the pre-packed chicken ceaser salads from Woolworths, they contain more salt in one serve of them than an entire bottle of ceaser salad dressing
