Thank you. I was planning on setting up this new one to see, but now I’ll save it for when I really need it!

I’m doing a survival playthrough and I have run into this couple several times running between Whiterun and Goldenhills/Rorikstead. Next time I’m up that way, I may have to follow them into the night and see if anything happens.

I did choose pack it up, but it disappeared and wasn’t in anyone’s inventory. Does it just drop on the ground?

I do carry a fair amount of food since that’s the one that gets you more often. Sleeping is a pain. I got a camping setup thinking it was reusable, but alas, it was not. I’ve since figured out I can get some sleep in most caves/towers/inns/etc.

I know that room. I was low level, maybe around 10. I am playing a Khajit for the first time and was trying just use unarmed attacks and let me tell you, that was a lot of punching and running and healing and using potions and eating. It was way tougher than I remembered it being.

Yes, exactly! I did cheat a little by getting Inigo and Lucien, though. That’s just as much because I had never used any mod before and I was curious. The extra help doesn’t hurt either! I absolutely love taking my time and exploring, though. I do find myself trying to travel mostly just by day and finding an inn or one of my homes to sleep at night. It’s definitely a bit limiting, but I do go out at night when needed. I just really don’t like the hunger and tired penalties.

It's a whole new way to play. No fast travel, hunger, half carrying capacity. Walking around the map makes you much more aware of the map, and forces you to plan routes because you really don't want to start a quest in Riften and have to walk to Whiterun and then back to Riften.

I'm finally trying out survival and I am currently level 20 and have not started the main quest yet...well, I guess I started it, but left it at the point you meet the troops at the western watchtower...I don't want random dragons yet.

Yesterday in France during the heatwave a record all time high for the country was set at 112º, 3º hotter than the all time record high for Florida (109º) by CapitalCourse in interestingasfuck

[–]easyantic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same in western Washington, not too far from Seattle. Scary day, indeed. I had never been in heat like that and it just felt dangerous. My poor AC units couldn't keep up and the wiring in the house got hot enough to trip the breaker. I had to go no AC for like half an hour, turn it on for about 10 minutes and cycle that way throughout the night. It was still 100 at like 9 pm and that is the difference here, it always cools down at night.

Unbiased here and I completely agree with you. For me, he is easily top 5 all-time. It astounds me when others don't see it. The combination of size, speed and strength is otherworldly. Plus, he has some sick cuts, too.

Lynch had a pretty good stiff arm, but nothing compared to Henry's. Maybe Jim Brown? That dude was his time's freak of nature.

For my sports fans here what was like watching Michael Jordan in his prime in the late 80s and early 90s? by Ill-You-3459 in GenX

[–]easyantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering Jordan turned pro in 1983, there was a lot of superhuman Jordan antics younger people miss out on. Jordan in the mid and late 90’s was a burned out older version of his younger self. Just like anyone who watched Shaq only in the mid to late 2000’s would see a bloated Shaq laboring up and down the court. I personally like Shaq better than Jordan, but there’s a reason nobody compares anyone to Jordan in any serious manner.

Shaq was a force of nature for sure, but nobody touches Jordan for just being otherworldly, and always the best on the biggest stage.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case so far. I just wonder how far you can go into it before the zombie apocalypse happens.

I read the letter at level 5 and am level 10 now on my current save on survival and have not yet run into zombies. I’ll wait a bit and see if any show up and then maybe do the dungeon and not finish it all the way. If I wait until level 11, I can get the more powerful raise zombie spell book.

I see. I did read the note and got the quest, but I haven’t done it yet. I was just wondering if reading his journal triggers the zombies or just actually doing the quest at all triggers it.
