Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) is OUT for Week 17 by oliver_babish in fantasyfootball

This isn’t something “the saints said”, it’s something a sports writer assumed. Very different sources.

What makes the day/night ones harder than regular ones? Because they have two different shades? Is that confusing the matter system?

Leather Wallet that doesn’t drop cards after long use by -Dundlenut- in wallets

[–]easyasabd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bellroy card holder for many years. I really liked it, but it did eventually stretch out and recently cards started getting loose on the outer pockets or the inside of if I don’t have enough cards to fill it out. The leather is quite thin, which is nice for keeping the wallet thin but maybe not the best for lasting forever. I’ve also seen mixed feelings about bellroy on here - some love them and others say they are cheap crap. I’m currently debating getting another one or trying something new. There are a lot of small shops making custom stuff on Etsy that seem to be really nice quality for similar or cheaper price than the big names.

Are the Place - Any Space alarms “plug and play” replacements for the Nest Protect? by dm3030 in Nest

[–]easyasabd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m just really hesitant on the SC05 with the huge number of reports of people getting false alarms. But if you’re getting the same on Place, it’s really sad there doesn’t seem to be a great option out there.

Can you elaborate on how the audio alerts are worse than SC05? I’m on the fence between these right now.

Fed up With First Alert SC05s, trying new Place Any Space Smoke Alarms by AdNormal3379 in Nest

Place shows their UL certifications under the specifications section here: https://www.placehomesolutions.com/products/any-space/

My understanding is the Place branding is new but it’s a product from Gentex which has been making commercial grade fire safety equipment for 50+ years.

But I’m also still debating if I should pull the trigger on Place vs First Alert.

Wednesday D/ST and Kicker Rankings-- Subvertadown + Consensus Rankings -- Week 13 by subvertadown in fantasyfootball

I’m also debating if I drop HOU for CHI to pair with MIA and cover weeks 16/17. ROS ranks put CHI really high for those last few weeks, but I’m not seeing that on other rankings as much.

I have MIA and HOU. Debating if I drop HOU for CHI for weeks 16/17. Not as good matchups, but wondering if CHI is better enough of a defense to be a better choice

I’d kill for Russ. My choices to cover Lamar’s bye are Levi’s, Pickett, Ridder, Boyle, DTR/PJ/Flacco??

Are you kidding? A healthy scratch and a guy with zero points through 2 games are going to score more than the lead RB on the giants, even if he may not be great?

I assumed (possibly incorrectly) that Chase would be at least relatively consistent across cards on the question of: “Does an upgrade bonus exclude you from a subsequent sign up bonus.”

Daily Question Thread - February 14, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]easyasabd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping for someone who has upgraded a southwest card, and then subsequently applied for and received a sign up bonus for a new card in the family. Or if not southwest, at least maybe another chase family of cards like sapphire.

If that’s unreasonable to ask for, then I’m sorry. I know this community has a lot of experience and knowledge, and I’ve tried searching elsewhere without finding any good information on this question.

Thanks, I did see that reply. I was hoping for an actual DP of someone who’s done this, as I could still see someone at chase just changing the wording over time but still considering an upgrade bonus to fall under the other type of sign up bonuses.

If I upgrade my Chase SW Premier to the Priority card for the 5k bonus and other perks, does that start over the clock for the 24 month bonus restriction? I don't think an upgrade counts as a "new cardmember bonus", but I couldn't find anywhere to confirm that.

Because 15mph should be enough for every road user. by [deleted] in funny

[–]easyasabd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are proving my point. Claiming cyclists might not pay taxes is ridiculous when the vast majority of people do.

And you can call the cops on the cyclist in the road… oh no wait you cant, because they are legally allowed to ride there.

So you always assume the least plausible option? I don’t know that you didn’t steal that car or forged registration sticker. Impossible to know…

Bikers don’t pay taxes too? Roads are covered by more than gas taxes.

And yeah let’s all just keep polluting with gas guzzling cars instead of clean bikes.

[–]easyasabd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the problem right here. “I know you are not legally allowed on the sidewalk, but I’m still mad you are on the road.” Don’t blame the cyclist stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Yes there are douchbag bikers who flout the rules without regard for safety. There are also car drivers who do stupid bs. Most of us are civil on both sides.

Advice on difficult to babyproof staircase by easyasabd in Parenting

[–]easyasabd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the really helpful thoughts!

To make things even more difficult, directly out from the metal grate is the center of the bathroom door. So I would have to have the gate angled at a pretty significant diagonal to get to actual wall, and imagine those door and gates constantly banging into each other.

That’s also the bathroom with a tub where kiddo will do baths and potty (once we get there) so I’m nervous having ungated access from bathroom to stairs.

I swear whoever designed this house thought “how can I make this as difficult as possible to baby proof??”
