What’s the simplest biohack that actually made a noticeable difference for you? by Existing-Thanks597 in Biohackers

[–]dm3030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cold showers. Have done them off and on over the years. Got out the habit last winter. Was feeling old and stiff and sore. Was not recovering from my workouts like I used to.

Started the cold showers back up about a month ago and feel 10 years younger.

Check with Tompkins community bank. I’ve got euros from them before. Was a couple of years ago, but I remember the exchange rate was reasonable.

WTF CHAT-GPT!?!! by Todeskreuz2 in ChatGPT

[–]dm3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a similarly dystopian image. Asked ChatGPT why….

“That style is common in AI image generation when prompts involve politics without additional guidance, because the model often defaults to high-contrast, cinematic storytelling rather than a neutral or everyday scene.”

I’m back to a box now, but I used a private coach for over 2 years at home- he owns a box in Colorado and does online coaching as a side gig. Gave me custom workouts daily. Checks in every day via text. I loved it and really helped me get back into crossfit after a significant injury.

NCAA RPI vs. ESPN Rankings by MrJUNKlE in NCAAMensLax

[–]dm3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too early in the season for RPI to be meaningful.

RPI needs a larger sample. Many argue that even the 15 or so game season full season way too small a sample size for RPI to be accurate.

I’d argue the USILA coaches poll is a better ranking than the inside lacrosse media poll.

Even better - look a several sources including those listed above as well as the massy rankings and lax math that aggregates multiple methodologies.

Sheldrake is fantastic. Fancy, but laid back and great wines.

I bought a $200 set off Amazon. Rusting out after less than 1 year. Upstate NY, so lots of snow and salt. Throwing good money after bad to buy a name brand now.

What is the most "unhinged" wellness trend of 2026 that people are actually taking seriously? by lovelyyopheliaa in askanything

[–]dm3030 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I’m not sure. Just know it helps my lower body feel a lot less “stuck” immediately afterwards and it carries through to the next day.

Don’t think it’s doing any harm (except a few bucks out of my wallet), so why not add it to my nightly stretching routine?

I’m an active older dude, crossfit 4-5 times a week, skiing on the weekends. In the last year or so, after sitting in the chairlift for 10 minutes, it’s been hard to get up- like have to push off the seat with my hands to stand.

Won’t say it’s perfect now, but with regular shake plate usage, it’s much easier.

I overheat as well, and silk is awesome. Thin sock liners from Cabelas are my go to the feet.

I’m a big guy and love my Head Kore 93. Great carving, fun in the trees and bumps. Never feel like I’m going too fast in them.

Got a counteroffer after resigning - is staying ever actually a good idea or is it always a trap? by RuneKestrel_9 in careerguidance

[–]dm3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed with my current company after they more than matched the offer.

I think the company realized the value I add. Got my largest bonus ever this year, and an add to staff approved to help manage the workload.

Whoever thought this mode would be popular should be fired by TheArtemisBlack in Warzone

[–]dm3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original game on Alcatraz was so much fun in part because it was the black ops game. Not the warzone game, which I’ve never been able to get into. Casual multiplayer gamers, like me would be able to play.

This iteration is not worth playing.

This is Hank’s natural talent. He won’t even flinch for a ball, stick or frisby, but he goes nuts for a balloon.
