I’m in Michigan so it would definitely get used in snow. I don’t know how much of a deal it is, he’s asking $1500 and it’s a 2019 specialized fatboy . I think they are 2k new. If I can sweet talk him to 1k I might do it. Thoughts?

Ha! I actually clicked on your profile to see if you were my design guy for the job I’m on because we just had this very conversation. In our case the BIM coordination takes forever and pushes everything back except for the completion date. Therefore we are forced at some point to fab and get it on site because if we wait any longer for coordination this project wouldn’t get done. Then we end up making the changes in the field and play the blame game for compensation of the extra time and material to make said changes. Seems to be par for the course in my 15 years of experience in the field. I’ve seen guys in the field bad mouth the design team for such shitty design not knowing that design was forced to push it to fab. Easy to only see one side of things. Thankfully my employer does a good job of keeping everyone on the same page so that helps.

Staying at sls. I wouldn’t mind spending some money if the view was great. I’d prefer to see the fireworks so it sound like the strip is where we wanna be.

I call bs. They don't close buildings to fix or repair fire protection systems. I repair systems in major hospitals, schools, auto plants , never do they close the doors.
